What have you been working on? Something? Nothing?
If it's something, show us! If nothing, then draw it! And show us.
Might as well post something myself.
not sure why you'd make one of these threads when it's the dead hours but sure
I just finished this up, I'm messing around with Clip Studio Paint's new update
Does anybody know where to find the Dick Tracy Font?
>>80859534
Because it needs to be up 24/7. And when AMERICA has night, Asia and Europe might nave NOTnight.

Please put "Work on your art" somewhere in the OP from now on so the filters work.
And by filter I mean the same ones that highlight them for the catalog too.
Tips for you guys:
>don't practice stuff blindly. Try to understand
>If you are doing stylized stuff, be consistent about your proportions and shit. Making a reference sheet of your style will help if you got problems.
>before making a complete piece make sure of what you want to do by doing some sketches to a junk paper.
>and do quick warmup sketches before starting to the big piece
>fuck your comfort zone. Get out of it. Never stick to one thing.
>yeah, anatomy of things vary from people to people. But dont make it impossible to work anatomically

Animation I'm working on for portfolio. I'll probably add a little extra near the end so the clip doesn't just cut off like this. I kinda dragged my heels on it.
>>80863136
Are you new?
>>80863583
Are you a fag?
Decided to color an old sketch I had sitting on my hard drive
>>80863609
I'm asking if you're new because it's very silly that someone would direct this thread to /ic/ when these threads have been going on for years.
Also your comebacks could use work.
>>80863646
This is just a shitty art circle jerk because you're all too afraid to get any real criticism on /ic/.
>>80863732
Personally, I don't think I'm good enough to go on /ic/. There's no point to me going there, because I already know the things I need to improve on.
>>80863619
>>>/v/
Not /co/, fuck off.
>all this shitposting
>all this "gb2/ic/v/whatever"
I wish you'd all go back to >>/reddit/, but you're all still here.
>>80862340
I like the shading/colors. I'd probably color/outline the grass differently. Maybe a light green for parts facing the sun and a dark green for the rest, and more variations of blades. B+
>>80863609
How did you know
>>80863732
It's my experience that people in /ic/ often parrot a bunch of shit they've heard before. Knowledge they haven't actually attained, but use as a club all the same. A lot more frequent than you'd find elsewhere.
And they're rude. Often for no reason. Other rude people tend to like that though. And it falls in line with the fact I have never seen someone politely recommend /ic/. It's only ever guys like you, acting like a supremacist.
Honey, vinegar, flies, etc. Just piss off, really. I don't expect to change your stripes with logic or anything. It's not about convincing you, but to the third parties reading this.

i have a bunch of stuff to share, but i will star with what im working on right now
its some lady sif fan art of some lady sif fan art by adam hughes

>>80865272
this was the first thing i drew today, new bubbles from the new powerpuff girls show, havent seen it yet but saw the thread up today and decided to draw one of the screenshots there cuz i used to watch powerpuff girls as a kid, no homo, i mean it was an action show so it wasn't specifically for girls ya know? i think it was a show for everybody, i think
>>80865356
then i did a study of invincible in his blue suit with a bloody face by ryan otley!
>>80865388
then i did a quick sejic study, before doing a bunch of original freestyle sketches of my own characters, then the adam hughes study im doing right now
>>80865467
fan art, not study, but same difference, whatever
>>80865467
i also tried to do a mignola study but failed miserably, i will delete this now, and try again one day when im better at doing digital mignolla type stuff from scratch in sketchbook pro
>>80865583
did a few adam hughes lady death studies, but they all sucked except this one, this one turned out alright
Still work in progress.
>>80865658
Her eyes look like poop right now I think at least
>>80859104
I bought a tablet a few months ago.
Still sucking hard on lighting, but working on it. Also not /co/-related.
100% random sketch dump
all from today
Alright draw thread, I'm inexperienced and have an hour. Give me a request and I'll do a quick sketch of it.
>>80859534
nice!
>>80865272
bump
Trying something different with this comic, some auto-bio, but the big difference is me attempting to draw more "realistically" with looser inking (with a fixed-width pen--a .30 rapidograph). Also gonna be using screentone like the other full page here, trying to exert a bit less control over my marks, using the ubiquitous Hunt 102 nib and Deleter screentone (it's so much fun to work with). Not fully happy so have re-drawn the page and am adding tone to it--in fact I have another four pages which I'm re-drawing for the same story for various reasons, mostly because of too much line variation. Whilst I do WANT various line weights I don't wanna go too heavy, I want to keep it thin and almost spidery.
As evidenced by first pic, my life-drawing needs some work!
Bottom left pic is my "regular" more "cartoony" style.
(Believe it or not never used a collage app before sorry about the nasty green border)
Facial angles practice
>>80861553
Here, here. But whilst there are overlaps, a cartoonist and an illustrator are pretty different skillsets.
I drew Jinx for a friend.
bump?
brb...
>>80865926
Reminds me of videogame levels. Not bad for liquid texture.
>>80866633
yeah i think its done, i feel like if i keep messing with it im just going to mess it up, moving on!
Bump.
Forever bump.
That favorite /co/ artist thread inspired me to try and draw my character in a Simon-ish way. I won't get 100% the way he does stuff, but at least trying to "think" like him.
Have some bland sketches.
So legit question, and I feel this may come off pretentious, but I plan to work myself into being decentatleast I hope.
What is the best way/place to get a following off of your art? More specifically to start doing commissions, etc? Would a DA be good to have?
I just want to draw what I enjoy and pops in my head, but my lack of understanding of the system leads me to stagnation, I'll have straightforward ideas in my head and pop out something good, and then I'll toss it away a day later and try to reinvent the wheel because I feel I'm not good enough.
Sorry if this is too much, just going through a bit of a mental breakdown.
>>80880512
If 0 is having no skills in animation, and 10 is being a master like Miyazaki, I would give you a 5. You're halfway there.
>>80877727
made some notebook sketches about an hour ago
Drawing in the early morning = bad. That spider on the back is forever unpleasant to do.
