Ever heard of Brainpop? It's a series of educational videos animated in Flash, which cover topics ranging from convection, 9/11/, to kwaanza.
Fucking slapped me in the testicles with nostalgia, OP!

Yeah these are still used fairly often in my district. Not bad, but the whole thing is kind of wooden in its presentation. You'd think they could afford better editing or something after so many years of success, but I wouldn't expect teachers to really give a shit about that.
>>80830322
Every week the third through fifth grade classes have to get lessons from Brainpop, I'm aware of it working for the school district. They hate the videos and always try to phone it in for the quizzes.
Teacher used it when I was in 7th grade. I remember some students clicked on the puberty videos for laugh.
I used to work for a company that outsourced work for educational groups like the one that produces these. My job was to sit there and write out the closed captions for these videos. Fucking "beeps" and all.
...that's my useless contribution.
>>80830322
I only knew about their science videos. I didn't know they did other stuff.
>>80830788
What company? I want that job.
>>80831462
>I only knew about their science videos. I didn't know they did other stuff.
I recall a video where they talked about voting.
>>80830322
We watched this back in my high school science class. Wow.
So has anyone drawn the guy and robot fucking yet?
>>80831519
>So has anyone drawn the guy and robot fucking yet?
Anon pls
pls no
>>80831570
pls yes
I distinctly remember being 11 or so and commenting that the robot looked like Iron Man. My teacher thought that was funny cause none of the other kids knew who Iron Man was at the time.
Man, that's been at least 10 years now.
>>80830322
Holy shit I haven't seen these since middle school.
Holy shit they weren't funny
>>80831961
At least they didn't try too hard like some PBS stuff. Props to Bill Nye for all he does but his show did kind of try too hard with the jokes
>>80830322
"Dear tim and moby"
mofucking nostalgia pls
>>80830322
Yeah, I watched them in school. My mom is a teacher and I remember her using them sometimes too. The animation wasn't very good, but they started coming out probably more than a decade ago. I'm surprising they're still ongoing. The two girls were qt
Man now this is a antique meme.
I'll remember it right after you check these dubs.

Look out Flash and GreenArrow this shit is as by the books as you can get. I think they made a real robot for this.

A few weeks ago I had to teach a group of Cub Scouts about the scientific method, so I thought "I hope Brainpop still exists". And yep, they had a video about it. I probably haven't seen these since middle school.
Who were the voice actors?
>>80842361
tim and moby
>>80834846
former young sub here
K-8 fucking LOVED this series. ANY day brainpop was in the notes, the kids' attention was held and they actually learned something
>>80830322
I remember watching these in 6th grade science class; great times.
We watched a few unrelated ones sometimes, and I remember how it felt weird that the holocaust episode didn't have any jokes or lighthearted moments or anything, and the last shot was the guy respecting a monument or something. I obviously got why they didn't want it to be funny, but it just felt weird to see a Brainpop episode that ended on a serious note.
>>80834846
Shit, Not since Jr High did Brainpop cross my mind.
>>80830322
Holy shit THATS what this was called! Ive been trying to remember for years now!
>>80833534
What two girls?
>>80848388
Cassie and Rita. They joined the cast later and would talk about certain topics
>>80848610
Thanks
I remember Tim and Moby from my 12th grade civics class. The teacher acknowledged it was childish but it was actually a decent way of getting the material across.
>>80830322
We used to watch that in class
Never cared for it
>tfw I learned about sex and reproduction from them.
>>80830322
Yes! My middle school password still works.
>>80850841
Nice
My middle school science teacher fucking loved using this site. They had a limit of how many videos you could watch for free each day and she taught us all how to circumvent it by clearing the browser cache so we could watch more.
>>80830322
I've seen videos of it before in Science class back in Year 8.
>>80830475
>7th grade
Huh? We watched this in high school.
>The episode about death
I got feels from that one
>>80835011
>gorilla warfare
Always gets me
>>80848610
Didn't they talk about menstruation?
>>80830322
Aw shit, I used to see this back in 6th and 7th grade. I loved this videos. Man, brings back memories.
>>80831730
>none of those kids knew Iron Man
They sound like shit kids to me.
>>80855990
