Watched pic related recently and enjoyed it. What should I be watching next?
Looking for adult animation, in particular things like Heavy Metal that go balls out with the 70's cheesy psychedelic sci-fi/fantasy. Preferably stuff that would be go to watchstoned
Ralph Bakshi's Wizards and Fire And Ice. Fritz The Cat if you want simple humour. Rock & Rule is ok, not as adult orientated though.

This pretty much
Black Cauldron is still a Disney flick but it has that weird dark 70s vibe
Just dont watch Heavy Metal 2000 for any reason

Starchaser if you don't mind a near blatant Star Wars ripoff.
CALLING HANNOVER FIST!
Ignore >>80827274
Definitely watch Heavy Metal 2000, at least the first five minutes
I can usually put up with bad movies but it's one of the few where I couldn't do it

Last Unicorn is a good one also , the Harpy sequence is very similar to all of that other stuff in particular
Aeon Flux too. Even though it's from the 90s it's relatable to what you're after. Weird dystopian sci-fi with no continuity. Maybe some part 2 episodes, but generally the episodes are independent from one another.
And forget about the live action adaptation if you've seen it. That shit was pure haram.
Harry Canyon, The Bomber and Hannover Fist were the best segments.

Fist of the north star.

B17 > Harry Canyon > Taarna > Hanover Fist > the rest >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Den ( the geek who becomes a barbarian sequence)
That fucking sequence is so god awful, skip forever
Why did they cut this and include that shit

Damn that was spooky.
>>80827547
Den was a strange thing.
Well if you aren't specific on western stuff. The Ghost in the Shell movie has a very Heavy Metal atmosphere at times. As does Akira.
>>80827547
that was neat but that would be shit if shown in the film

Fantastic Planet

You Know, Alien also has a serious Heavy Metal vibe. Live action aside.
>>80827821
Probably because of Moebius and Giger's influence. Also, on the topic of live action, there's always The Fifth Element.
>>80827852
That and Dan O'Bannon worked on both films.
Gunbuster maybe.
