they really need to update their official website synopsis then
>>
I actually really liked this issue.

It did a lot to make Vandal Savage work surprisingly decently as a Superman villain which I never expected to fit at all.

Yang did a pretty good job sticking the landing on this after the setup Pak gave him.

Honestly if all you read of Truth was Paktion Comics, the Superman Annual 3 and then this issue to finish it off it's overall a very good storyline and it manages to hold up pretty well without needing any other tie ins.

Just ignore all the other shit.

>>
>>80801406
I'm sad that their wasn't more of Lois Lane, biggest bitch in America. I was really looking forward to the abuse that was coming towards her, just scenes of her being treated like a pariah, getting BTFO by Clark and friends and generally her feeling like the worst person in the world.
I DEMAND SUFFERING.

>>
>>80801954
Do not Cry.

Now without Clark/Superman after Super League(saga to find powerful people, for now it is not understood that it appears.. The bad man of saga, kidnaps Lois? ) Lois will cover that void..

It will be the journalist Lois Lane/Superwoman..

Well, it is nice to dream, even more so, that dream is fulfilled...
>>
>>80802157
the last chapter the use of Super Flame give powers to Lois? Very Difficult.. I believe... Although if DC wants to give someone power they give them.

Although it would be a new way of seeing the Clark /Superman concept with Lois...

As Barbara/Oracle changed Frankie/Oracle.. despite the fact that Lois is so old character in SM comics.

Since even with Hypnos I doubt Superman dare to return to Planet with another name

We must wait until the end of Super League to see if this happens .. Or is it as simple as that Lois back with Superman .. and nothing else. The only support for this theory are the Super series REBIRTH .. and has a series called Superwoman.

In the same way NuSuperman is unearned sure. They haven't done anything to make me like THIS character. All they've done is try to short hand. Haven't said, I don't imagine this run will survive after Pak is gone. He Tomasi, and Gene are the ones who pushed it. Fortunately none of the people I named have that degree of pull at DC, except Tomasi.

It didn't really matter once they made it clear that he wasn't going to drop being Clark Kent. That was my biggest concern with it.
>>
>>80804908
I think maybe they had originally planned for Lois to do the reveal for some other reason but decided to change it to a more sympathetic version due to backlash. So that made it not really matter as much as the lack of powers plot point as she didn't actually do anything selfish or wrong. It was just a matter of her and Clark getting over themselves and legitimately apologizing.

>Superman Batman ignoring this

That Taylor arc was a flashback. When Pak was on it it was current with the Truth books though.

Lois did the right thing by outing Superman, and their relationship has really flourished throughout this entire arc. It's felt organic, and well done. I'm happy to see them getting closer to being a couple.

I can see why you'd feel that way, but I don't. Lois made the right choice. Clark was upset about it immediately, and Lois wasn't going to take his shit for doing what she knew to be the right choice. After having time to really reflect on it though, he came to acknowledge himself that she made the right choice. And it was clear throughout the New 52 that Clark had feelings for Lois, and IIRC that Lois cared for Superman. It wasn't done exceptionally, but it was done.

New status quo seems comfy. Gonna be curious to see what comes next. Clark still wearing regular clothes over the suit seems silly, but I like it.

She didn't make the right choice, she made a emotional charged decision that was incredibly short-sighted.
>but now the blackmailer doesn't have anything over Clark
You don't seem to understand that this is a worst case scenario for clark. Not only has he been exposed but so has his friends, like the justice league for example. Won't take long for them criminal genii to find that out I tell you what.
>>
>>80811515
She certainly made a choice but I wouldn't say the right one, also She fucked over his life. Lois didn't exactly broke his glasses anon, this isn't a stupid argument this is a man's life so stop acting so Blaise about it. She might've saved Superman from Hodr but she killed Clark kent.

Well they kinda made a huge change superman so maybe the story they should be telling is that one.
>>
>>80811844
That's a fair concern, but Super League might address it, or they might just write it off as a threat since Cap and Iron Man seem to manage public IDs well enough and this is Superman after all, and I'm sure he'd be aware enough to plan for it. Besides, Lois Lane was targeted countless times because of being publicly "perceived" as Superman's girlfriend, and the same thing happened to Jimmy for being his pal. All the public knowing that Clark Kent is Superman changes is the three panels it takes for him to have a clever get away to change into his costume. Heck, even the Kents aren't at risk since they're already dead. And the League? You mean the guys that have their own books when they fight villains by themselves? Psh. Alright.

>Thinks Morrison created Superman.

Anon this better be bait.
>>
>>80812856
Think he means New 52 Action 1, anon.
>>
>>80811321
He does when they exploit the less fortunate. Morrison said himself that his Superman was based on the original version of the character who was a defender of the disadvantaged who were exploited by the rich and powerful.

If the story is that the public identity doesn't matter then you'll still be mad. You just want it to be a negative thing because of your headcanons.

I'm ok if this is the long term non-traditional status quo thing we get for a while. We had Clark and Lois married for over a decade and that was fun.

The 'original' version wasn't fully formed for decades. It took years for smallville, krypton, and supergirl to come into being. Superman was at his best when he was Truth, Justice and the American Way. A strongman with a god complex isn't inspiring, he's Ellis' Authority with a liberal slant. You can cheer him on, but that version of the character from the 1930's was far from the perfect iteration. By that logic Batman is at his best shooting criminals and wearing purple gloves.

I didn't give a like or dislike on it, m8. I was just trying to share Morrison's motivations for depicting the character in that manner. Whether the iconic or fully formed version of the character is what is most cherished or remembered, doesn't change the fact that the original version of him is the original version of him. Knowing Morrison, he probably justified writing a cruder less refined version of him with some meta philosophy of his being a novice and not having gone through adventures that shape him into the version you and I both prefer. Regardless of that though, I am just trying to point out that it wasn't some agenda or rewriting of history or the character as you suggest. It was merely an allusion to an earlier time of the characters existence.

I guess you could argue Smallville in general would be a target now, but I'd rather they didn't go full edge like that and have someone Bludhaven it just to prove a point.

>This team
Is this going to be the plot of super league ? sure as hell looks like it
>>
>>80814277
You could say that, but Steel and Lana seem to always be there these days, so I wouldn't say its completely unprotected. Either they defend it, or call in the cavalry, but either way I'd go out on a limb and maintain that it would be protected one way or another.
>>
>>80812156
I said She killed Clark Kent because Superman shouldn't be Superman 24/7. Clark needs to stay humam.
>>
>>80812950
You tell the most interesting story and they didn't.

>inspiring
God forbid St.Superman ever gets some tarnish on that halo, gotta make sure he's above is pitiful mortal.
>>

But he is. Even this issue, he was chilling out, eating, plain clothed, and Jimmy and Lois both cheered out for him to go be Clark and go be Superman. Yes, the secret is out, but he always perceived himself as Clark Kent, son of the Kents before discovering he was Kal-El, or dubbed Superman. Even throughout Truth, he was referred to as Clark or Kent more so than Superman. His identity being public does not mean that Clark is dead or that Kal-El will always be Superman from now on. It may in the future when edge lord authors want to delve into the complexities of downsides of his identity being public, but for the time being, he can still grab lunch with Lois and Jimmy, visit his former neighbors, take a stroll down the street, and suit up for trouble like he did in this very issue.
