It had moments in season 1 that hasnt been replicated yet but overall its better than ever

In the beginning it was pretty average, but it got really good by the end of the first season. The beginning of Season 2 was awful, because it was a bunch of misc. episodes that got pushed out of the middle of Season 1 so they could air the finale earlier and made some characters feel out of place and was just filler at that point. After that got fixed up, it got good again, and the only real issue was how long it took them to catch Peridot. And now the issue is the pacing, but that's more of the fault of the hiatus over anything. It's a lot better written and looks a lot better than it did at the start.
Only the management of the show is bad.
Nowhere, it's the best, most progressive Cartoon ever created and is still great now as it's on going. Better then all those "muh whacky, retarded humour with no story" cartoons back in the day like Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Johnny Test.

Those can be done well, Ed Edd n Eddy is a good example. It's not just 'whacky random', it's relatable characters that are ploys to each other. I can understand if you prefer lore based with a plot over a straight comedy, but one does make the other infallible.

Well you can't just start in the middle of something. That's like being 30 minutes late for a movie, going in anyway, and getting annoyed nothing made sense. You could have understood if only you weren't late to the party, but you had to get something to eat first? Then you had to brush your teeth again, other wise someone might see some of that cheese stuck in your teeth. There's been a lot of cops around lately too, and it's the end of the month and they need to make their quota, so you kept right about the limit and that slowed you down. Then you had to have a parking space up front at the mall, even though there was plenty of parking in the parking garage, you didn't feel like it was worth the walk. You could have just gone to a later showing you know? But you just didn't have the patience to wait around the mall for an hour. You had to see it now! Of course, as mentioned, you ruined it for yourself by doing that, though you'll never learn that lesson will you? You still just want any content that you see to be pleasing without any context, and that's just something that's going to have to disappoint you the rest of your life.
