Thought s? Where should other charatvters go? Think some spots are misplaced?
>>

>Daredevil
>Wonder Woman
>conservative
Who made this retarded shit?
>>
>>80699493
What do liberal and conservative refer to on this graph?
>>
>>80699932

Probably someone took that test a bunch have of times and role played the characters choices.
>>
>>80699493
That is awful
>>
>>80699932
What they always mean? Do they change defintion?
>>
>>80699493
These are pretty arbitrary, though. Wat makes Darkseid more conservative than Apocalypse? What makes The Joker liberal?

I find a lot of interpretations about what ideology a character is has more to do with what the reader is bringing to the character.

One could look at Batman and say that he's an anarchist because he takes direct action to protect the community instead of relying on institutional authorities, cares about social issues, etc. Another person could say he's a conservative because he cares little for due process when it conflicts with justice.
>>
>>80699493
Only fags are authoritarian
>>
>>80700639
Different countries use them for different things, an American Liberal may be an Austrian Conservative.
>>
>>80700639
>>80704002
They don't even have a consistent definition within America itself.

Especially if authoritarian/libertarian is being considered a separate axis.
>>
>>80703829
>One could look at Batman and say that he's an anarchist because he takes direct action to protect the community instead of relying on institutional authorities
He is not even arguably anachist. He is obsessed with order and goes past the system because he feels the sustem doesn't do ENOUGH.

Left/ right a shit.

Anyways >>>/pol/
>>
Batman is not a fucking conservative. The guy gives away massive amounts of money every year to charity and social programs, and he seems like the type of guy who would be in favor of strong government.

He strikes me as a guy who is apolitical, but would be seen by others as being slightly left of center. Crazier incarnations like Miller Bats or Kingdom Come Bats tend to have either an anarchist or authoritarian streak to them.
>>
>>80707136
ANCAP a shit. A SHIT.
>>
>>80707794
ANSYN is worse, imho.
>>
>>80707773
He's Caesar, but one that is willing to step down.

He didn't love the government, at least a big encroaching one. If he does he would've gave all his resources to the city, state or federal law enforcement. Like Waller.
>>
>>80707841
No arguments here
>>
>>80707896
On the other hand, he's outright said on multiple occasions that he'd like to make better use of his wealth, more so than he already is anyway. But in Gotham, you can never be sure whose hands that money would end up in.
>>
>>80707136
This works so much better than the OP graph.
>>
>>80707773
This is why the left/right concept falls apart. There are too many independent variables to treat it as a single line.

Going by:
>>80707136
Batman is altruistic, but also very authoritarian.
>>
>>80707773
>Batman is not a fucking conservative. The guy gives away massive amounts of money every year to charity and social programs
Are you saying that those are things conservatives cannot do?
>and he seems like the type of guy who would be in favor of strong government.
That's more an authoritarian issue than it is Conservative
>>
Batman also doesn't allow other vigilantes to operate in Gotham unless they follow his law.
>>
>>80699493
Doom is pretty liberal

Latveria hascomplete freedom of religion and of any form of self-determination

As long as you acknowledge Doom as the greatest thing ever of course
>>
>>80708206
Doom is a weird combination of altruism and egoism. He's somehow both extremes at the same time.
>>
>>80704330
>He is obsessed with order and goes past the system because he feels the sustem doesn't do ENOUGH.
Yet he refuses to kill criminals, which makes him complicit in any deaths those criminals cause.
>>
Reminder that how Batman operates gives us nothing on how he votes or how Bruce Wayne is seen from the outside. He could me more like Koch Brothers than George Soros when it comes to money, but we'll never know.
>>
>>80707136
>neo-liberalism

kek

Fucking american retards. REAGAN was neoliberalist, Tatcher? the same.
>>
>>80708377
That's a morality issue, not a legality one. Even cops who have justified kills have to undergo review, whether there are protests or not. Batman CAN'T go through that system.
>>
>>80708403
Knowing Gotham, he probably votes for whichever candidate he thinks is less likely to become/turn out to be a psychopath
>>
>>80708403
>Reminder that how Batman operates gives us nothing on how he votes or how Bruce Wayne is seen from the outside. He could me more like Koch Brothers than George Soros when it comes to money, but we'll never know.

Actually he votes Democrat, and batman in general is anarko-fascist since O'neil and pretty hard on that after Miller.
>>
>>80708437
Different countries have different definitions of liberal/conservative.

If you'd read the thread you'd have noticed this has been pointed out.
>>
>>80708437
Not the economic policy, idiot. Look at the context of the graph.

Do I need to break the crayons?
>>
>>80708471
Not for Neo-liberalism you retard.
Specially when it was the chicago school the one thast coined the therm.I know americans like tom think collective ignorance makes a a wrong a right, but that's not the case.

I'm gonna need some explanation here.
>>
>>80708505
>Not the economic policy
Neoliberalism is by far the most selfish thing there, national socialism does not allow for Interests, only allows one national bank, and you can only BUY and PRODUCE, you can make money as a landlord. Is more altruist than anything in the right side.
>>
>>80708505
Why would you break my crayons, you damned fascist swine?!
>>
>>80708614
Break crayons from my pockets, you illiterate troglodyte.
>>
>>80700639
Ask an American and a Brit what a liberal is, and they'll give very different answers.
>>
>>80708304
a good chunk of altruism wraps back around to feeding somebody's ego
so it is with Doom
>>
>>80708575
Well, 2 things get that name, one is national anarkism, a pretty weird and retarded political stance.
And the other is just the result of mixed idiology when it comes to social and political order, Anti-statism and at the same time supoorting strong laws and strong reaction from the citizenships to uphold "morally right" laws. The importance of seeking a goal as a society, but without a state telling you what that goal is. For Bruce if he has to isolate Gotham from the rest of the world (like in no man's land, kingdom come, and other futures) to make it safe and protect it, it's a fair price to pay for the sake of the people. He is fascist when it comes to how to lead, but believes in total freedom fot the people to be organazed as they want and not under a goverment.
>>
>>80708470
>He's a Democrat.

Like, Reagan democrat? Cause his choice of industry reflects that more than anything else.
>>
>>80708695
So one guy has absolute authority, but for the most part doesn't use it?
>>
>>80707136
>Anarcho-Syndicalism Mutalism Communtarianism
>Anarcho-Capitalism Propertarianism Voluntaryism
>Traditionalism Reactionaryism Monarchism

They really couldn't find better names than those clusterfucks?
>>
>>80700639
That americans think liberal and conservative are opposites, they confuse Progresiveness with Liberalism. And they think the left is always "liberal".
You tell them that Cuba is Conservative and their brains brake.

Modern liberalism differs from classic liberalism. Conservatism depends on which governing system or culture you want to conserve.

Don't insult my intelligence.
>>
>>80708745
Nazis and fascists aren't even completely rightists. They're centrists economically.
>>
>>80708741
Rolls off the tongue better than anything the mainstream media spouts 24/7.
>>
>>80707773

>Batman is not a fucking conservative. The guy gives away massive amounts of money every year to charity and social programs,

He could be a libertarian and still do that but also believe he should not be compelled to do so by law. Not everyone tries to force other people to follow their particular morality by law.
>>
>>80708745
Uh, nope. You never heard of the Horshoe Theory?
>>
>>80708825
The problem is that american economics are so far fight Obama is to the right of Hitler, and murrikans hate that. The problem is that left and right are only about economy, but at some point in history someone thought liking gays and nigs was a commie thing to do.
>>
>>80708847
>Not everyone tries to force other people to follow their particular morality by law.
Batman does. Also, he is pro big taxes, pro ecology, EXTREMELY anti-gun.
>>
>>80708848
Yes?

You can divide the horseshoe into the same four quadrants that are in OP's chart
Liberal-Authoritarian correlates with Altruism-Positive Law, Liberal-Libertarian correlates with Altruism-Natural Law, etc.

It's the same thing, so uh yeah?
It also doesn't make sense, seeing as how Anarcho-communists and Anarcho-capitalists hate each other even though they're right next to each other on the horshoe
