What if this movie, his introduction, will be his character-building? And in this scene, he is first appearing, and in first appearing is attacking as well as meeting all of the Avengers at once... and he's kind of nervous? Y'know?
He'll go through the movie and see how Tony Stark does the banter and want to emulate his bro.

He's great for the role. We're finally getting a teenage Spidey, not a 30 year old playing a teenager. Also Holland's athletic enough for the role and is probably the first Spidey to do at least some of his stunts.
And the fact that he's friends with Punisher warms my heart.
