Well Astroboy is among most famous and child friendly creations.
I'm not quite sure how much children would enjoy Black Jack, and i doubt many networks would allow to show any surgery.

Have you actually read the manga? It's absolutely fantastic, and rife with ideas and social commentary. Astro has literally went though every big war and social movement of the 20th century and was one of the few works that actually embraced technology rather than fear it.

And isn't it unfair to call it Astroboy Reboot? Every dang time they have a new series they reboot the whole dang thing. Sure, there's an origin story and intro that's needed, but c'mon this has to be the 7 or 8th series by now. Just do a 2part starting ep, then launch into something that hasn't been done a half-dozen times.
