hey how the fuck were the sole unrelated survivors of their race all different ages? like, their big escape from the humans was generations ago, so how exactly did they dwindle? I could see the two oldtimers being orphaned in some old struggle, but the rest of them are young enough to have never interacted with humans. what the fuck happened to their families? or ARE they related but just inexplicably never once refer to that fact?
