Speaking of yes-men, Goyer is a well known studio bitch who is capable of churning out mediocre superhero movie scripts that match the winning Hollywood formula and do fairly well at the box office.

Goyer got kicked out in late 2013, and replaced with the the Oscar winning writer of Argo, Chris Terrio, at the request of Argo director/Batman actor Ben Affleck.

They were going to hand Goyer the keys to the kingdom, but they realized their mistake when MOS's script was fucking awful, leading to an almost equally awful film. Also, when Goyer handed in the first few drafts of BvS, and those were also awful.

Luckily, they trashed those drafts at the same time they booted him.

Snyder just got lucky. When they wanted someone to make a superman movie he'd just come off Watchmen and wasn't working for the opposition.

The last thing you want in today's market is a production team who've never worked on superhero stuff at all, because they're not going to be as plugged in as they need to be.
