Haven't watched the Simpsons since 2010, when was this episode aired?
Oh god, the smithers father episode always creeped me out as a kid. The thought back to it kinda gives a warm nostalgia.
The alien episode I remember weirdly well because my family had those episodes on a vhs and I must've watched them all a hundred times over. Looking back it's obvious I didn't get half the jokes but its still great.

trips confirm
the one thing that both disturbed and fascinated me more than anything else as a kid was that one episode of Beetlejuice where all his enemies team up and steal his body parts. Something about the the loss and helplessness, and the way they all treated his individual body parts really hit a nerve for some reason.
When that kid from "The Magic School Bus" just said "fuck my life" and ripped off his space helmet on Pluto and his whole head instantly turned to ice
