if I have to choose between new good Marvel cartoons and new good DC cartoons, I choose new good Marvel cartoons

DC has
>Batman TAS
>Superman TAS
>Batman Beyond
>Justice League
>Brave and the Bold
>Green Lantern

Marvel only has Avengers EMH and Spectacular Spider-Man.
>>
>>80433337
Revival/sequal. So a continuation.
>>
>>80431492
>Spider-Man TAS

>Good

Right back at ya.
>>
>>80433337

And it sucks.
>>
>>80434973
>Not liking Spidey TAS.

It's literally the only good Spider-Man show we've gotten.

They could even start expanding the old universe if they wanted to. Thor TAS, Agent venom TAS, Daredevil TAS, Doctor Strange TAS. And every summer they'd release a movie special or something of them using that universe to adapt one of the events.
>>
>>80435364
It was only tolerable. Also, so fucking tired of them trying to push highschool Peter.

It's like they don't want us to have nice things!
>>
>>80435578
It paled in comparison to TAS.
>>
>>80435655
>muh nostalgia
>>
>>80431421
not possible, that universe died and became Universe 7(aka Marvel Earth 616 prior to Secret Wars), which in turn became Universe 8(the post Secret Wars main Marvel Universe)
>>
I'd like them to do a slightly edgier one where Wolverine can actually stab PEOPLE with his claws and Spider-Man can punch people.

I'm not saying there should be blood and guts galore, but at least as much as normal comics. I mean, FFS, Powerpuff Girls was more graphic.

>>80435461
How can one man be so delusional?
>>
>>80435801
Can someone explain that to me? I can't wrap my mind around it.
>>
>>80435818
They'd definitely be able to get away with it if it was modern day.
>>
>>80435931

Wolverine wasn't even able to stab people in Wolverine and the X-Men.

This is why Marvel needs to do more direct-to-DVD features like DC/WB. Direct adaptations of classic storylines, too.
>>
>>80436046
Well, I feel they might be able to get away with it if it was done off screen. Like the shadows.
>>
>>80435909
happened in the last episode of a tie-in comic for the X-Men cartoon, universe is destroyed and gets reformed into Earth 616(we see Galan of Taa throughout the comic, and his subsequent transformation into Galactus, and the comic ends right at the beginning of X-Men volume 1 issue 1 from 1963), unfortunately I don't have a copy of said comic on hand or I'd storytime it

>>80436046
just need more robots and inhuman aliens to give him things to stab
>>
>>80436127

No, fuck that. His claws were intended to swipe at people, who bleed.

To be fair, though, even in the comics, it depended on the writer whether or not you actually saw claw penetration.
>>
>>80435593
it's Disney's fault (like 98%) and the other 2% Marvel.
>>
>>80435193
>No punches
>Hobgoblin before Green Goblin
>Insidious Six
>Morbius with suction cups
>Frog faced Venom
>Electro is Red Skull's son
>Footage recycling that would make He-Man cringe
>GET BACK HERE SHOCKER

I'll give it this, they didn't ruin Carnage, their version of Hydro-Man was better then the original, and I liked Jim Cummings as Shocker.

>>80435461
Highschool Peter is how the comics started.
>>
>>80436127
I don't recall, but I haven't read it in a while so I might be wrong, but doesn't it end on a cliff hanger where Apocalypse shows up?
>>
>>80435364
At least once a year, I cry, remembering this ended on a cliffhanger and will never get a decent conclusion.
>>
>>80436296
High school Peter is overdone. TAS did the smart thing and skipped over all of it. And I wouldn't blame censorship for how good a show is or not, the creators have nothing to do with that. Also, while listing good things, how could you not bring up Chris Barnes' voice as Peter?
>>
>>80436184
if it's good enough for Samurai Jack and Megas than I'd say it's more than good enough for Wolverine

>>80436419
that might have been a different comic, 90's X-Men had several of them
>>
>>80436529
92, right? The tie in for Secret Wars 3?
>>
>>80433621
To be fair wolverine and the x-men was prety good
>>
>>80431492
I still read the comics in Christopher Daniel Barnes' voice.
>>
>>80436910

I am so glad I'm not the only one.

I also hear Wolverine only as Cal Dodd.
>>
>>80436488
>High school Peter is overdone.

I can only recall two shows that did it.
>>
>>80436488
His voice is alright, but the voice direction was god-awful. It sounded like a 20's radio play. It was really hard to listen to at some points.
>>
>>80436488
>>80439276
There's an anime with that voice actor doing English dubs in that same exact The-Amazing-Spider-man voice without changing it a bit.
Super creepy too, because it's a genderbending character he dubs in that anime. Fucking Japan, WTF did they do to Spiderman?!?
>>
>>80431421
I'd love some good Marvel cartoons as much as they next guy but a revival of that era wouldn't cut it.

Sure they didn't get everything wrong (I read Wolverine's lines in Cathal J Dodd's voice), but they were mostly just cheap 90s kids fare, rife with cut corners dragged down by censorship.

Its no DCAU, but I hope one day Marvel will have something equivalent
>>
>>80433337
I sure wish it didn't.
