Movie would have played out exactly as it did, except when Talia reveals herself and gets killed, Joker appears and explains that he was the true mastermind of the ordeal, using the chaos that was caused in the League of Shadows by Ra's' death to manipulate Talia into orchestrating the ruse. Then when Bats has Selina take him into custody, he activated the bomb sequence and the scene where he seemingly sacrifices himself to save Gotham.
With a line from Joker echoing back to TDK when he claims they're destined to do this forever. After the reveal at the cafe in Paris, we get a scene with Joker in his cell, a knowing expression on his face.
