I'm just annoyed that the guys in OP's videos seem to think that hip-hop is all gangsta rap and black movies were all new jack city and "boys in tha hood" when most of either had much more range than that.
I watched this movie for the first time last year on a cable channel and this movie was really weird. It ends with the bloods and the crips teaming up and beating the bad guys.

I really adore this movie. Blankman too.
I loved Meteorman or the fact that his powers were super limited and he had very little control of a few of them, but also the fact that even with all his power he couldn't stop the bad guys. It was only when everyone was on one accord did the bad guys fall.
I also like the part where he used his powers to make a garden grow to super size to feed people. You don't see enough heroes try to tackle a problem like hunger.

meteorman is kind of a heartwarming little family thing, while blankman is goddamn funny in a weird proto-kickass kinda way that abandons realism as soon as he builds an intelligent robot out of trash, but the rest of the movie carries on as if realism is still firmly in place. which is fantastic. the general public's reaction to his batman-ass way of thinking is priceless.

One of my favorite gags from Meteor Man was MM and the main bad guy using their instant book-reading powers to learn martial arts to fight each other, and they wound up touching a fashion magazine that made them start posing and shit.
Kinda like something outta Jojo, now that I think about it.

the 80s was truly a fantastic time for that. that and Batteries Not Included. it was sympathetic to poor people without putting the blame on all the rich. but they still called a spade a spade, and we got great movies like trading places or The Super spearheading greedy exploitative assholes
