They were obviously expecting at least a couple of them to be a hit a la Fraction/Aja Hawkeye, but it didn't happen. The best they got was everybody getting mad when they cancelled and uncancelled Omega Men. And even then sales keep dropping after the book got that little bit of attention.
Didio and Lee even admitted they fucked up some and the people they were pandering to were more likely to buy trades than floppies. So the trades for a lot of them will have to be god tier to make up for the shitty floppy sales.
It flopped so hard they went from "lots of c-listers and story > continuity" to "CORE AND LEGACY and also continuity > story" real quick.
