The thing with MCU is that they constantly raised the bar for ridiculous with Phase 1, but for Phase 2 they found their formula and level and stuck with it, even if the average movie quality in Phase 2 is better, we'll never EVER see a MODOK or Beta Ray Bill.

It would take them 2 decades at least to truly run out of shit.
It doesn't matter if a character or team is "Mainstream" or not, that fact has been more than sufficiently established. People will go see anything with the MCU stamp on it.
Marvel isn't gonna reboot their cinematic universe as it stands now, the only reason that would happen is if the entire cape-movie craze crashed and burned and Marvel stopped making movies entirely for several years.
