Pyrrha has been turned into a Grimm hybrid and has been tasked with killing Jaune and co
They clashed about three times before and Grimm Pyrrha almost won each time but some plot got involved
Pyrrha always targets Jaune and no one else during her assaults but its the fouth time now and she brought a hoard of Grimm
Its Night
Grinn Pyrrha got Jaune away from his group and its just them no distractions no more plot saving their ass
Jaune tries to convince Pyrrha to come back to snap out of it
Pyrrha readies her weapons and despite his tears Jaune does as well
There has been no music before this moment
However if you listen closley, it is faint but Shine begins to play in the background
Pyrrha and Jaune's fight is fierce the ground is scarred forests are cleaved to stumps
However through all of it Jaune doesnt give up, he keeps trying to convince Pyrrha to break out of her current state
Shine begins to increase in volume
Pyrrha's fighting style slowly changes from trying to kill Jaune to sparing with him like days of old
Throughout the remainder of their battle Shine continues to increase in volume
Somehow they both lose grip on the weapons so they charge at eachother
The final verse of Shine kicks in now blaring, Jaune and Pyrrha crash into eachother locking hands and kissing deeply
They begin to shine and a wave of positive emotions sweep the area killing all the Grimm that Pyrrha brought with her as well as returning her to normal
Jaune and Pyrrha confess their love for each other under the shining stars and play a huge part of saving Remnant and live happily ever after.

Remnant’s Reclaimer is pretty good too, post-keikaku!Ruby breaks 88mph and travels to the start of Vol 1. I'd love to recommend The White Rose of Vermilion but I won't live long enough to see the story conclude.
The Games We Play is also good but really long, technically it doesn't contradict canon but it goes so off-tangent with the mythology and backstory exposition that it's nowhere near the actual canon. Amazing worldbuilding nonetheless.
Soulbound is a novelization of the series, it's a pretty good one if you want something which more or less sticks to canon.

I think it was less Cinder toying and more of her being used to her new full maiden powers and experimenting what can she do. Sure she did some awesome flashy stuff with Ozpin but got smacked around for being too direct and Pyrrha clearly dominated her in close combat. She just got the powers and was testing how powerful she really is now, she seemed legitimately worried when Pyrrha made all those gears fly towards her and became much more confident after shrugging that as if she said "holy smokes! I'm really THIS powerful now? AWESOME".
I liked their fight a lot because their styles and personalities made it a good example of Knight VS. Evil Witch battle that gave it a nice flair of epicness.
