I used to feel the opposite but it least in terms of the character we got in the end, a redemption arc makes more sense for fanfic. By the end he was like a pitiful angry child. That's why I thought of Peridot, who also made every attempt to kill the main characters before her redemption arc, mind. But cartoon bad guys reach that point where they're laughable and then are redeemed a lot and I feel like Bill hit that laughable pathetic point here.
I've already seen Bill resurrection fanfics by people who I guess assumed he'd die, you could do some interesting things where he's trapped in Stan's mind I guess or he's trapped in the statue of him, or he's somewhere else because they never completed the prophecy to banish him and all that. Magical creatures are easier to bring back since even on the show the "rules" of Bill were just make them up as you go along.
Still frustrated with the way the character played out overall.

I didn't dislike the finale. Ended kind of how I expected it to, and yeah, there could've been so much more, but it wasn't bad at all.
Kind of wish Stan had lost most/all of his memory, though, and Ford was just committed to taking Stan around the world in search of adventure Stan couldn't remember he wanted in a vain attempt to jog his memory.

i liked pacifica by herself, didnt even hate NWMM (even though it felt like pandering), but holy god did he fans get RELENTLESS in the past few months. they had cute moments, but it was obvious that they didnt have much chemistry and that shoving them together at the last minute would've been contrived.
with this sort of show its better to leave things open ended. the hearts that candy and pacifica gave dipper, or the hat wendy gave him, are good enough to satisfy all the ships great or small. besides, the poptarts and pokemon post should've made it readily apparent that alex had no interest in resolving dipper's romantic plot.

But this is all going off a really old tweet from Alex I read a long time ago. If I remember correctly, during one of the long ass hiatus's he tweeted something implying the next episode was done and he wanted to release it but Dis wouldn't let him because it would be more profitable if they waited or something. Might have been the summerween one. Had to fight Dis to get them to air it 2 months sooner than they originally planned.
