Honestly, Steven Universe.
It's the only C.N show that's balanced quirk, creepiness, slice-of-life, and serialized serious story elements. A.T is too much of a workshop. Regular Show has grown too stale. Gumball is good but light.

I think that a lot of slice-of-life shows feel that way. Really, it just comes down to which episodes are written around situations that you can relate to. A lot of the show's best jokes are "it's funny because it's true" moments.

Humor never really improved, its still as predictable and mundane as ever.
Gumball became REALLY unlikable and the only reason /co/ doesn't give him slack is because he's one-dimensional like the rest of the cast.
Its the epitome of hit and miss and feels out of place in an era of more plot and character driven shows i.e. feels more at home with the shit we got in the mid 00s which is why its not popular here but the people who like it do so because its a "cartoon" that you don't need to invest any time to the characters and story to find enjoyment and can watch at your leisure.
