I don't know about that. My girlfriend's older brother claims to be asexual. He's pretty attractive, and with the sorts of hobbies he keeps, I'm sure he could get any of those weird artsy chicks if we wanted.
Then again, he was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, which may have something to do with it. I have yet to see asexuality manifest itself independently of SOME kind of condition that makes social interaction difficult.
