Yes, noontime on the weekdays seems to be a good time to get an empty theater for childrens' movies. I went to a Wednesday 12:25 showing and there were only two other people in the theater.

It would have been better if they at least had Shifu's VA from Legends of Awesomeness, though. The guy they had in the ad was terrible. He sounded more like Splinter from TMNT than Shifu.

Ehhhh, considering that in the TV series, they got completely different voice actors to almost perfectly mimic the movie's voice actors, I don't think that's what happened. At the very least, they would have let him listen to clips from the movie(s) to get a feel for what Shifu sounds like.
An animation studio that's been going as long as Dreamworks has, would not just have someone do a "blind" voice-over for a character.

Serious question. I made threads for the show back when it was still around and nobody seemed to like it on /co/. Only a few people participated in those threads. But these recent threads for the movie have been full of discussion about the show.
It it just a function of time - people appreciating something once its gone - or is it something else driving this?

The F5 in general are more likable in the TV series because they actually get time to shine outside of fight scenes or one-off jokes.

There's also the fact that the 2nd half of S3 has yet to air, so I suppose there's a bit of hype surrounding that.
But even so, opinions on the show are still just "it's okay/mediocre". It's not bad, it's just nothing special either, and certainly nowhere near as good as the movies.
