I love Babs Tarr's art, it was the original reason I picked up the new run to begin with, but I had to drop it a few issues back. The wedding issue was the last straw where they just brought Grayson in to shit on him.
The writing is just bad. Fletcher and Stewart do not flesh out their characters at all. There were how many issues devoted to Alysia getting married? They gave no reason for readers who jumped on with the new creative team to give a shit about her wedding or her fiance being in danger. Alysia pops up in a couple panels and we're told that her and Barbara are just the best of friends and so close, but we are never shown any reason why. Why should I care about the wedding of this character I know nothing about?
The "big reveal" of her co-worker at the college being involved in a villain's scheme was pointless. We hardly see Barbara do anything at the college or interact with this guy outside of the first issues of the run and now we're supposed to care that he's done something wrong? I'm sure most readers forgot who he was at that point.
The biggest irritant for me was the forced romance between Barbara and Luke Fox. They bump into each other a handful of times on a mission of Barbara's and suddenly they're in love and dating? When they kissed I was really confused because it came out of nowhere. There was no build up or demonstration of their chemistry. We're just told they are into each other now, deal with it.

Batgirl is likable, but then I've never read many of her primary books, and the ones I have, I didn't enjoy as much as the recent run of Batwoman ones.
Batwoman has her head on straight. She does about as well as you could expect from someone who "isn't Batman". It's not really a gender or sex thing, it's just that "He's fucking Batman". Everyone like them is derivative of, and lesser than him as a whole.
There are Bat Family members and "tribute Capes" that follow his example who approach or even exceed him in some qualities, but generally speaking, he's the most well rounded and successful, besides being hyper competent. Physically he is also generally the peak of "beating ass old school" and just generally going all medieval on people. He's a big guy. A big, skilled guy will on balance, kick more ass than other equally skilled people. And Bruce is pretty fucking big.
But yeah, just to reiterate, Batwoman seems to have found a nice niche. She handles some of the crap that Bruce is too busy for, and has leads into stuff that's a little tougher for him, often. Batgirl seems like I dunno, kind of a piker compared to her, honestly. She's always going to be the kid sister or mission control. She can run around and clean up little Bat Family messes, but to me, the character and the way they write her are straight "Robin tier" material. She is not really up to "A-lister Rogue or Bat Threat" situations alone. She punches the henchmen and lackies of a-listers in the mouth, not the a-listers. On a good day, the Joker is too much for her.
On a bad day, she might get one over on him, but at his best, she's beneath him.
