Mark my words. This will ironically be the lowest rated Superhero film of 2016. You can fucking feel it can't you?
>>
Nah, this is going to be the movie that jump starts DC's reign

Marvel is getting old, they're like Limp Bizkit and DC is a shiny new band called Linkin Park

The only trick Marvel has that can save them is Spider-Man, and you know we have a little phrase we call Parker luck, it will be awful, there is absolutely no hope that they will do Spider-Man well, the core fans will be pissed off, the drones will defend it sure, but people are going to move to DC
>>
>>79659826
Yeah I can
>>
Tough call, could be Apocalpyse. But I'm also feeling it.
>>
>>79659826
Well, I always thought Suicide Squad would be rated higher than BvS, and thought Skullpooplwas going to be rated worst, but that is looking not to be the case, so yeah. You're probably right.
>>
Civil War is a Marvel film and being directed by the Russo. Both got a fantastic track record. Deadpool is sitting at the high 90s on RT with close to 30 reviews. X-Men Apocalypse is coming off of two great X-Men films, and is directed by Bryan Singer. Suicide Squad is being directed by a more competent director than Zack Snyder, and the trailers have been great so far. We don't know much about Doctor Strange, but it's going to offer something new, and Marvel's been great so far.

Yeah it doesn't take a genius to figure out the odds are favoring BvS to be the lesser film. Which is a shame given the premise. In any sane world it'd be the opposite, but Warner Bros are run by fucking retards and decided to give Zack Snyder the reigns.
>>
>>79659826
After things like DOFP and Star Wars 7, I really can't predict a movie's quality based on promo material anymore.

The real question is:

Why care about this? I only care about my opinion regarding my entertainment.
>>
>>79659826
No way there's no stopping the hype train now. People will see it even if DC has to march audiences to the theatre in chains

Look on the bright side. Unlike Man of Steel with it's godlike trailers, at least this time we're expecting a disappointment, so it won't hurt as much.

This time we're bracing for impact.
>>
>>79660117
That's a noble, but silly, way to look at things. Popularity and ratings have a huge role in determining what movies get made. It's worth looking at.
>>
>>79659826
Yeah, I can feel it.

But /co/ will still consider it better than X-Men: Apocalypse and Deadpool.

Except mos delivered on its trailers.
And the comic con trailer for BVS was every bit as incredible if not better then the trailers for MOS and the only thing wrong with the 3rd BVS trailer is Jesse, the quip about WW and revealing Doomsday.

> Jesse's acting and campy characterization.
> Doomsday being revealed which is a flaw with the marketing not the film itself.
> Doomsday not having spikes.
> Gal's thin-ness.

>>
>>79659826
It should do better than 56% at the very least, since Goyer's not doing the meat of the script, though the bones might still be on him.

But no Snyder film has gone beyond 75% and that was Dawn of the Dead

Dawn of the Dead - 75%
300 - 60%
Watchmen - 65%
Legend of the Guardians - 50%
Sucker Punch - 23%
Man of Steel - 56%

Optimistically I predict high 70s this time but the real score might be high 60s and mid 70s. 80s and above would be a miracle.

Apocalypse has Bryan Singer on board though, which is generally good news for X-Men movies.

You're delusional if you think any trend can keep going as long as you assume it will
>>
>>79660777
Nice trips, but clearly both aren't necessary. The public's opinion on something does not depend on the critics, the only cunts who care about them are the marvelkeks on here.

These are the same critics who rated Revenge of the Sith as good, why the hell would you trust them?

Go on Rotten Tomatoes right now, look at the movie called "Hail, Caesar!". I don't know what its about, haven't watched, but very clearly there is a division between critics and the audience. Who is right?
>hurr durr the critics said its good, it must be true!
>>
>>79660579
No none of it has to do with Snyder's competence as a director.

He made Lex more like a mix between his old 60s mad scientist version mixed with Gene Hackman which is a valid incarnation to do just not what most viewers wanted.

Gadot was certainty not ideal but she was fine in Fast Furious.

Nothing wrong with using Doomsday and they may have made him less spikey to stay away from 90s EXTREME vibes.

DC's incompetence with their own properties made me fucking hate their movies, they don't give a fuck about their fans and they're only doing this shitfest of a movie to catch up to Marvel. These dumb faggots never learn their lesson. After BVS comes Justice League then after that there will be origin stories of heroes that nobody will give a fuck about becuase DC will fuck them in the ass. Fuck DC and fuck Warner Bros. for selling out. Fuck fuck fuck fuck

Everyone knew Fant4stic was going to be shit because it was literally made at the 11th hour just to keep film rights for the characters from Marvel. There was also tons of drama behind the scenes causing the director to basically lose his career over it and the studio taking over and doing reshoots at the last minute, showing the the movie was clearly unfinished with green screen highlights showing and CGI looking like shit.

>No one of it has to do with Snyder's competence as a director

What exactly do you think a director does? Te quality of the performance of his actor's directly relates to his competence as a director. He is te one who is supposed to tell them what they need to feel, or what they need to be emoting so that their performances are compelling and make the audience feel the desired emotion. His competence as a director was never specified however. What has been begruged for years is his inclusion in any capacity because wheer compare the performances of the same actors when directed by him, and other, better directors, or his stylistic choices, or his casting choices, the only benefit his inclusion has brought is that the man can make a good action scene. Other an that, DC properties have been done a disservice with WB's choice to give him any authority over these productions.

I was 13 when the first Ironman was released, now i'm not even in my teens anymore. Marvel is going down now to never recover or go as hight as they were circa 2012, people need to accept that.
DC will go the same route, so we need to just enjoy it while it last.
