Honestly, this kind of does deserve a modern continuation. The generation who grew up with the show would watch it, so if they were to make a joke about something in modern Hollywood we would get it. But WB would probably get shit writers who don't have the energy or humor of the writers of the old series so it would crash pretty fast

I would LIKE to imagine something a little different, where their show was actually treated like a show, and some execs are looking to reboot it. Unfortunately for the Warner siblings, from what they see of other (albeit imaginary) properties, they want no part of it, and do everything in their power to prevent it.
Add in some skits, some new, and some updated old ones(The Kabooms: Katie's twin kids), and you have... a glimpse of how terrible my ideas can be.

I mean, it kinda makes sense, but Animaniacs was more cohesive. Instead of having fast gags that look like shitty Adult Swim bumpers, the segments of Animaniacs were a few, but had a real focus. They DID try to tell stories and write humor, even if the jokes were meh and the animation looked like shit at times.

It will not be shit, if TMS can pulled off Blue Jacket Lupin III with flying colors then Animaniacs will be a cake walk.
7D is no longer in production (as of no season 3) so the show will have the same writers and the magic will still be there.
The animation will net be crap, TMS still has most of the staff who did Animaniacs.
Only a few of the voice actors are dead, most are still working.

Having the same staff doesn't mean animation quality will be the same. Budgetting and animation standards are extremely different from what they were 20 years ago. The writing either, since its', again, been 20 years. Lupin is nothing like animaniacs. Saying it'll be great because lupin was is silly. You have no idea what kind budget a new animaniacs could pull in. Honestly, I respect the optimism but you gotta understand tv stations don't want to pay big for cartoon shows.
