At this point, we've seen for every Jaune arc, there has to be a Pyrrha Nikos moment. That's a problem with Jaune and Pyrrha (an Arkos problem). Nearly all of Pyrrha's scenes are with Jaune. She exists in his shadow. Jaune hung out with other characters, such as when Ruby gave him some peptalk. Pyrrha doesn't get that. Arkos is a big reason why Pyrrha was made.
Even though they are call team JNPR, it's actually more like team JP. They are two teams in one. In team RWBY, all the girls get focus, some getting more and others getting less. In JNPR however, this only happens for Jaune and Pyrrha. Ren and Nora are mostly comic relief characters. You could remove those two and you would not miss much. I would love to have a Pyrrha and Nora girltalk scene, but that will never happen.
It's said that the show has no set protagonist, and that it is shared between team RWBY and JNPR. I say it is team RWBY + Jaune and Pyrrha.
This is partially of result of RT having introduced far too many characters in too short amount of time.

Which is why Pyrrha getting maiden powers would help. Her getting maiden powers destroys the balance of the team. Before she's unneeded. She can be Jaune's development toy sure. That was basically her only purpose in vol 1 and 2. And this ended in Breah...I guess.
But with maiden powers, she now has a purpose both in show and within the show. They could either show her less or show her more, either scenario both don't necessarily show Jaune in them.

See, the issue here is they didn't MEAN for him to be shady. Not only was it unintentional, it was the complete opposite of what they were going for. I'm not saying they're not bad writers, but they must have been frustrated to no end by everyone interpreting their work wrongly.

As far as I can tell, being a Maiden allows one to manipulate Dust without a catalyst like a weapon or having it sewn into one's clothing. Amber appeared to just be able to channel those powers, meaning a Maiden doesn't even need Dust or is just able to create it from the air on the fly.

Not everyone who is bullied turns around and runs to their friends and asks them to beat the bullies up. Just silently bearing it is a pretty common and normal response.
