The Suicide Squad in the Dc universe is based on Task Force X. Originally they used prisoners in a military unit to do the most dangerous missions that you wouldn't send enlisted men to do. Years later Amanda Waller had the bright idea to use meta human and costumed criminals. Ostrander's run is a real treat to read unlike the current book. Wait till you see Russia's meta human team. They have an old lady who turns into a bear.

It's insane how much better this comic is than the movie looks. What are the chances that Boomer gets Slipknot killed and then laughs about it? Do you think we'll get to see the pie wars? I'm disappointed that they put Katana in the movie in place of duchess, but I guess that's to be expected when they take more inspiration from New 52 instead of Superior Ostrander's.
