Come on, horrorfags. I need your tears. Your icons Campbell and Raimi are shit.

Oh, critics are doing their job for once and saying a mediocre show is just mediocre.
Good. It's fucking sickening to see all those positive reviews for subpar shows and movies.
>>
>>79182062
>this time they are doing their job because i have some irrational hatred for a show i haven't watched.
>>
>>79181919

You're picking on the wrong crowd, because most horrorfags revel in the fact that the thing they like is normally shit. It's widely accepted that movies in the genre are rarely very artistic achievements. They embrace tropes, cliches, and general cheesiness, enjoying shitty and campy horror flicks almost as much as legitimately scary/well made films.

All of the things that make Ash vs. Evil Dead a shitty show are also the things that people love about it.

The Strain is a shitty show, and that's what what makes it so fucking great. It's so fucking dumb that it's brilliant, and it's a ton of fucking fun to watch that trainwreck unfold.

Etc., etc.
>>
>>79182086
Speak for yourself.
I couldn't care less for horror movies not being artistic achievements, but horrorfags are legit scum for letting their genre (which in my opinion has unrealized potential) to go down the drain with cheesy, godawful stuff like Evil Dead, Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th.
The worst thing, they celebrate that kind of shit instead of admitting that it's what is killing their genre.
Ash vs. Evil Dead (or everything Evil Dead-related) and The Strain are just unwatchable idiotic garbage and people who watch and enjoy it are contributing to the genre's further downfall.

>legitimately scary/well made films.
No such thing.
>>
>>79182078
Yes, kid. Capeshit shows are generally mediocre and definitely don't deserve 90+ percent scores on various sites.
Deal with it.
>>
most reviews i see praise the direction of the time travelling storylines, but the problem is that there are too many characters fighting for screentime and meaningful storytelling.

so basically the same problem with any superhero team, be it in movies, tv shows or comics. especially the fucking comics good lord.
>>
>>79182173

So how am I wrong for saying that picking on horrorfags is fucking dumb because they simply don't give a fuck?

You're the one that comes across as a butt hurt faggot, especially because you're trying to derail a thread with your hatred of a genre that's completely unrelated to the discussion at hand. It's not like horror fags came into this Legends of Tommorow thread saying "It's shit, watch OUR SHOWS instead! They're SOOOO much better."

Especially since it's clear from your

>No such thing

statement that you're the one that's being ignorant and bitter that people like something that you don't. Fanboys of anything suck, but faggots like you are the true scum of the earth.
>>

Reading the reviews, the main complaint I'm seeing is that the show has no definable lead like the Avengers have Iron Man and Captain America, X-Men has Wolverine and Guardians of the Galaxy has Star-Lord. The more conventional leader type falls upon the Atom, but he's also bland.

If you ask me, that is easily fixed by giving focus to Captain Cold and White Canary, which seems to be plan anyway.

>>
>>79182624
I haven't seen that show yet, but from what I've seen/read of Savage is that the key to him is in multiple parts.

At his core, he's still a goddamn caveman. Savage, brutish, and direct. But he has a facade of elegance that can ensnare the unwary.

He is also exceedingly patient. If things don't work this time, he's in no rush. He can scrap a plan and start anew. Not the first time he built himself up from nothing.

And he just doesn't give a fuck about things that he views as inconsequential -- which is a lot of things.

He could legitimately do Dragon Ball Z abridged' "Heroic Speeches" game and it wouldn't be too far out of character for him.

I kinda like IMDB
Rotten Tomatoes scores always seem like too perfect of a score or too harsh of a score.

IMDB doesn't seem to have that extreme of a margin.
>>
>>79186340
IMDB is average from 1 to 10 scale scores, while RT is based on how many positive reviews thing has got.
So theoretically RT doesn't differentiate with movie that gets only 10/10 reviews and move that only has 7/10 reviews. They are both 100% positive. (assuming 5/10 is the divider between positive and negative).

At least that was it last time I checked, dunno now.
>>
>>79180455
I legit don't know if this is just bait since it seems like people actually believe MoS is nothing short of a masterpiece and any criticism is either butthurt marvelfags or an anti DC conspiracy.

From what I'm seeing, the reaction is divisive. Either you're gonna love it or hate it, kinda like Gotham.

Or it could be a case where the shows still struggling to find its footing. The critics have only seen two episodes after all. It's rare that pilots manage to deliver anything really spectacular, we got lucky with Flash.

But ultimately, we're just gonna have to wait and see.

>>79180455

even flash's pilot wasn't all that great, at least not compared to later episodes.

i think LoT will grow into itself. even the trailers seem to only show off footage from the two-parter pilot, so there's a lot to be seen.
>>
Were people legitimately excited for this? I watch Flash every week religiously and even I wasn't excited for this

It's fucking a bunch of B and C-listers fighting in a universe that is completely unrelated to everything else. The actors aren't even that great. It was bound to be CGI-heavy just because of the premise and just how good could that be coming from the fucking CW? Even Flash's CGI is wonky at times and it uses it pretty sparingly outside of a lot of blur and the running segments.

Rotten Tomatoes is owned by Flixster, which is part of Warner Bros., which is a Time Warner subsidiary.

It's true that literally every company games the review system there with botnets tho; look up anything that hasn't come out yet and they've usually got user reviews months or even years in advance. The ones for Man of Steel giving it 5 stars and a whole lot of praise were up a year before release, for example.

The reason they do that is because people take those user numbers seriously, but in actuality they're just mean averages of user submitted reviews. So if you post 10,000 positive reviews ahead of release, even when the first weekend's bitching begins your score doesn't sink (as rapidly as it otherwise would). It takes a really shitty production to make the user review scores sink rapidly, or a really cheap production that can't afford the extra bots.

Of course, this does all kind of sideline the use of RT as it was intended to be used, but since none of it matters anyway it's all fine.

Have you not been coming here long? We had like 2 years of Rightclops threads, even though his secondary mutant power is being wrong.

People do that all the time. "Building's on fire, get the fuck out", "nah I've got shit to do, it's cold out there, I'll go in a minute, I can't even see any flames".

You tell them that's not how fire works or why you evacuate, and they go turn the fire alarm off. Guy I lived with years ago told me about a week after the event that he'd taken the batteries out of the monoxide alarm because it kept going off, but no matter how long I explained it to him, he couldn't understand what was wrong with that. Didn't even open the window. Not a dumbass in most respects, just incapable of understanding things that he wasn't specifically trained or interested in.

In an apartment building, if there is fire in the hallways, it might be safer to stay in your apartment and keep the door closed.

Still stupid to take off one's own firealarm.

If you said it's not a bait then it surely was a bait.
