I'm loving it in spite of my disliking of Landis. If people who call Superman a Mary Sue or hate silver agey stuff demand we have an imperfect/human/relateable Clark whose life is not full of sunshine and rainbows, but generally good with formative incidents that lead to him becoming Superman, I'd prefer it be more like this than MoS. Even at it's darkest, Clark still feels like the Clark Kent I know and love.
InB4 someone posts that time teenage Clark Kent bit off more than he could chew, let a situation get out of hand, accidentally lost control of his heat vision and unintentionally amputated a murderer and dog killer's arms off with it, which led to his learning a lesson about being careful in the future.

High speed bullets tend to penetrate and go straight. When hitting a living target, they tend to punch straight through. Low speed bullets have a tendency to 'tumble' in the air and end up doing more damage because they twist and bounce around inside.
