It's easily the comfiest comic I've ever read. I pioneering feat that only The Maximum Landis himself could achieve. Truly, we are blessed to have him grace the medium with his phenomenal talent.

I'm really enjoying American Alien. Manapul is doing an issue as well.

The cries of /tv/ crossposters who hate Landis for whatever autistic reason is entertaining as well.
>>
>>79180519
what do you think that red splash effect coming from the side of the boat is?
he killed dethstrike.
>>
>>79180555
His costume probobly has an inflatable raft mode in its ablative armor somewhere.
>>
>>79180506
That's... good.
I might read this.
>>

well he's deathstroke, he's both enhanced and wearing several layers of body armor

i kind of dislike him too, he's too hyper for me, but american alien is good. i hate it when people can't separate pesonal feelings to view a work objectively.

>The cries of /tv/ crossposters who hate Landis for whatever autistic reason is entertaining as well.
He's a talentless hack riding off the success of Chronicle, and his dad is literally Man of Murder.

While I hate the guy, I do agree with some of his opinions though and he's been putting out some quality Superman, though. I've been entertained by every issue so far.

Bruce Wayne is pretty awesome

So, is this an Elseworlds origin for Clark where he masquerades as Bruce or something?

I've seen the odd mention of it, but this series has flown under my radar thus far.
>>
>>79180947
>je mange la fenêtre
I don't get it.
>>
>>79181023
it's basically an elseworlds, yeah. each of the issues has a different artist and is a stand-alone slice-of-life type of thing where we see clark at different stages.

Issue 1-Kid clark learns to fly, pretty sweet 7/10
Issue 2-Teenage clark does some grimdark shit 5/10
Issue 3-clark gets confused for bruce wayne at wayne's birthday party, hilarity ensues 9/10

If only they could've skipped issue two the series would be perfect so far
>>
>>79180130
I'm loving it in spite of my disliking of Landis. If people who call Superman a Mary Sue or hate silver agey stuff demand we have an imperfect/human/relateable Clark whose life is not full of sunshine and rainbows, but generally good with formative incidents that lead to him becoming Superman, I'd prefer it be more like this than MoS. Even at it's darkest, Clark still feels like the Clark Kent I know and love.
InB4 someone posts that time teenage Clark Kent bit off more than he could chew, let a situation get out of hand, accidentally lost control of his heat vision and unintentionally amputated a murderer and dog killer's arms off with it, which led to his learning a lesson about being careful in the future.

This might as well be DTV animated too, but every issue has a different artist. Obviously they'd have to tone down some things but I have no issue with Clark doing them in the comic.

>>79180550
Krypton hasn't been mentioned once, has it? And it's all on Clark deciding what he needs to be. It's refreshing after the Jor-El-centric movies.

Wait so you're comparing it to a high speed bullet, and you're complaining that it didn't penetrate Deathstrokes armor, who wears probably high tech bullet protection armor? So yeah it makes sense that the "high speed bullet" powered flick didn't penetrate it.

Ouch, poor Lana. I doubt he has complete control here, especially with the mid-orgasm thrust 'get as deep as possible' impulse. She must have been black and blue and walking bow-legged for weeks after that night.
>>
>>79182191
Totally agree. I just feel Landis writes god tier Kents. I've never been big on Birthright's Pa.

I'm intrigued enough by the lore and cameos in issue 3 that I want Landis to do a Batman series like this and possibly a JLA formation issue to wrap things up.

Bruce has been missing since he was 12. It's all just hobo adventures and ninja detective training unless he actually left home instead of disappearing the same night his parents got shot.
>>
>>79182516
Pretty sure he went in trainging from 18-19 until he came back in Gotham at about 26(?)
>>
>>79181060
Ce doit être " Je fais du lèche vitrine "
>>
>>79182587
But this is Earth-Landis where Bruce went missing as a 12 year old. It's in the third issue.
>>
>>79181060
What did he mean by this?
>>
>>79182678
Yeah I don't like that he went for the "Bruce trains in a cave for a decade with Ra's" origin. There's not as much interesting possibility there.
>>
>>79182696
See >>79182160
He was trying to repeat a sentence out of his workbook to Lana but fucked it up.
>>
>>79180745
/tv/ everyone, lets give him a round of applause.
>>
>>79182751
Well, not necessarily a decade, it could just be relatively short like Batbale.
>>
>>79182678
i don't think "missing" was meant literally, just that he's a shut-in who's never seen in public. obviously the parties are there to keep the illusion that bruce wayne is out and about
>>
>>79182860
He'll be in the next issue so it's 12 to whatever age they are then.
>>
Between Lana and Cheetah, this is more pussy than New 52 Superman has ever gotten.

You can probably calculate the force the finger would have to generate to lauch the man and derive its speed from it.

It's enough for that finger to plain cut the dude's chest wide open, I would assume.

But then again
>cape comics
>working anything like RL ever
>>
>>79182751
It needn't all have been with Ra's. The point of the 10 years of training is it was a world tour of different disciplines.
>>
>>79180929
High speed bullets tend to penetrate and go straight. When hitting a living target, they tend to punch straight through. Low speed bullets have a tendency to 'tumble' in the air and end up doing more damage because they twist and bounce around inside.
>>
>>79183261
*sigh*
People who care about shit like that have long since established that superstrength of this sort works by contact telekinesis of some kind, which papers over the cracks in this kind of scenario and all the other "lift a plane by the wing without the rest snapping off" kinds of things that crop up
>>
>>79180775
Deathstroke is immortal.
>>
>>79182206
Superman never loses control like that. If you look at Cheetah's post coital expresion, it seems that he has Dick Grayson levels of dick mastery.
>>
>>79185523
>Dick Grayson levels of dick mastery
Maybe Uncle Sups is where Dick learned all his moves.

I'm not saying they fucked, just that Clark was the one to give him "the talk"

Don't get me wrong, Landis is an extreme annoying asshole, and he openly admits to being one. It's just who he is. But it just so happens that most of his ideas and the things he rights are fucking great. Respect given where respect is due.

>>79187854

>Clark's seated on top of an office building some ways away from Titans Tower. He has a short-wave radio in one hand, and a half-eaten burger in the other.
>He brings the radio up after swallowing a mouthful of fast food.
>"Dick, ease up on your initial thrusts. Pace yourself, don't - there you go. Better."
>He moves to have another bite of his food, chewing slowly as he watches. After a minute or two, he speaks into the radio again.
>"Dick, come on. Mix it up a little. Remember what I told you about foreplay? It's a matter of position..."
>"Don't shake your head. It can be done, trust me - reverse cowgirl does wonders. Go on. She'll like it, just ask...see?"
>"Alright, Dick...hang on, Dick, don't..."
>Clark sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
>"Alright, maybe cowgirl was a little much for your first time. Take ten. Or fifteen - is she still going?"
