I feel kinda sorry that Fassbender and McAvoy are stuck slumming on these productions because they are actually pretty talented but these movies are completely beneath them. Singer's X-Men movies are the exact tone I would like for most superhero movies. Serious, but not relentlessly so, with some humor sprinkled throughout. He definitely could take a lot more influence from the comics like what's his name did for First Class, but when it comes to replayability I see myself watching his X-Men movies years down the road whereas I'm already sick of Marvel's movies and have almost zero interest in WB's DC movies.
That being said I really fucking hate the fact that Mystique is probably going to be the new Wolverine and is still being played by that cunt Jennifer Lardass.

Everything we've heard said this is a planet threatening sci-fi disaster film like we've never seen in capeshit before. Not a bunch of CGI robots knocking CGI buildings over, the literal Apocalypse. We didn't see much in the first trailer because release date is in the summer and they're still busting their ass on the CGI.
Also knowing Singer and his skills at making a satisfying completed film while still setting up the next, I bet he's gonna give us the first step towards going cosmic and hint at the Shi'ar or maybe Phoenix Force. Really nowhere else to go after DoFP dystopia and the apocalypse.
