Toonami is dead horse because the anime fanbase was quick to move on when the disparity of time between releases of shows in Japan and America vanished thanks to the internet (legal or otherwise)
Adult Swim as a whole still works because it's carved out a niche and has some original programming to back them up. That's what separates Toonami from the rest of their line-up, because the shows already aired or were available elsewhere prior to airing. Original shows don't have this problem. Sure, you can wait until a day or two after it airs and watch it on some bootleg site but it still has to premiere first before you can do that.

I'd love to get Log Horizon onto the block, but I feel it's lack of action when compared to SAO would leave viewers wanting something else. Ironically LH actually took itself seriously as a "stuck in an MMO" anime, but it also focuses on rebuilding society instead of just "fighting to survive."
