The smiley cup is obviously a false lead. Luisa is a pale green and the animal cage is knocked over. So if I had to theorize, it might've happened like so;
Harley came back in civies to talk to Luisa, they have a heated arguement, then the mutated rodent(s) attack and kill her, Harley freaks out and drops her smiley cup, and runs away.

Yeah, because every character has to be 1-dimensional. Dude the writer is now giving Ivy the characterisation the Ivy needed, I don't see anything wrong with that, she can keep being evil and a villain and all that but sometime a good justification is needed, not everything has to be just because. 2 Counts of Date Rape Roofie Drug crime stuff, I dunno the legal term but you can't just drug people because it's fun. She's Cosby'ed these guys. Not funny.
1 Possible Count of Grand Theft Auto.

Well that makes a damn good hero, right?

Not to mention Ivy's only points of agitation with Harley were her interrupting Ivy's girl-scientist time with Luisa, and Harley's interest in CIS males.

There were exactly, ZERO other displayed reasons for their argument.

Ivy is a TurboLesbo, she not only hates men, but she rejects basic interaction with women who associate with men.

This is Lifetime Movie Network tier story telling/plot construction, smooshed through a Tumblr speech filter brainstorming session.

If you want to make Ivy into a hero, don't put her in a position of MURDERING people.

And when they sexually harass lady people, we MURDER them!
Good times. Goooood times~

Is it so hard to tell a story where a woman can be justified in being turned off to men, without making every male character a sexist parody of reality?

No, because quite obviously, as you've demonstrated, it's not clear enough unless male characters are depicted as total and demeaning caricatures, born out of blatantly obvious misandry based their actions, dialogue, appearance and representation in fukk yeh gurrrl powrr comics and media such as the one posted here.

Just because you want to believe that men are cartoonish rape monsters, does not mean that men are, in any way, cartoonish rape monsters.

Please don't breed, it would be a disservice to any and all life in the Universe.

Well I can add that to my list of things that I hate about the Nu52.

If Ivy's an environmentalist, a motorcycle is probably the worst alternative to a car given that even the most fuel efficient of motorcycles still belches it out more green house gases than a modern medium duty pick-up truck.

The writer obviously couldn't be bothered to do research beyond fancy plant words, and a trip to Google Earth to verify that the cradle of life is near a diamond mine?
>>
>>79164819
Maybe it is solar powered.
>>
>>79164812
I don't. Most people in Western culture do not, as society teaches us that nudity is a product of intimacy and sexual behavior, and thus taboo.

The majority of modern Western women don't leave the bathroom after a shower without a towel wrapped around them, or a bath robe.

Are you familiar with the creature called woman, kinda seems like you PornHub'ed a little too hard and hurt yourself.
>>
>>79164874
And society teaches us that we are free to do what we want in the privacy of our home as long as it's not illegal. Sleeping nude is not illegal and is in fact pretty great.

>Maybe it is solar powered.

Why would it have a gas tank, and a heat shield used to keep the rider's leg from touching the engine block?

I can't say that the diagonal chrome piece on the back is an exhaust, but given the shape it's a sound guess.

If it was electric, it would be waste of torque and electricity to spread the rotation force generated by the electric engine over a chain to the rear wheel. Mounting the engine further back, and mounting the wheel to a drive shaft directly out of the engine would provide better distribution of energy, and greatly assist in slowing down given that when the brake is applied the electric motor would begin to apply opposing force that steadily increased as the rider pressed harder on the breaks, there by conserving more energy, and cutting down on the wear and tear of the break pads.

It's a gasoline powered, chain driven, crotch rocket.

The writer is completely missing the point, and motivation of Poison Ivy if she can't be bothered to give her a wildly science fiction-ie electric motorcycle. It's a fucking comic book, and she can't be bothered to make a note in the script to the artist that the motorcycle needs to be electric.

It's truly amazing how ham fisted story telling has become.

The only reason you're making the statement that it's pleasing, is that at some point in your life you made the choice to find comfort in it.

Likewise, Ivy just coming home and stripping down is pretty weird.

I mean, when you come home from murdering a biker, and watching your bestie murder to men by beating them to death with a cartoon sized mallet, is your first instinct to just get naked?

"Went to the store, made it home alive, time to get naked."

This is the kind of shit that Feminists have a point on, being naked for the sake of sexual imagery is just demeaning.

You watch porn for porn, you read comics for.. Porn?

I feel like it flew right over your head as well.

Ivy is a plant human hybrid, so maybe she feels that it's a lot more natural to be naked.

And she started to strip because she was about to go to sleep, and maybe she prefers sleeping naked because again it's rather comfortable and the whole plant human hybrid thing.
>I mean, when you come home from murdering a biker, and watching your bestie murder to men by beating them to death with a cartoon sized mallet, is your first instinct to just get naked?
I don't know because I'm never going to be in a situation like that.

Does she breathe thru her skin too?

Does Batman kill those guys, like.. Brutally murders them? Ivy straight up crushed a man's spinal column, and Harley killed those two men with blunt force trauma to the head.

This isn't girl power, this is fucking murder.

I get it, you're a dumb estrogen factory that doesn't see harm in murdering men because they're there and available to be murdered.

But I'm sure you're dick-riding the "violence against women" wagon when FeministFrequency is bitching about hookers in GTA, and not the literal mountains of men killed in video games.

Does it bother you that in Iron Man 2, Black Widow beat the shit out security guards?

These guys were in no way working for Whiplash. She broke into a building containing millions of dollars in military technology, and beat the fuck out of regular 9 to 5 security guards who were doing their damn job trying to protect these incredibly lethal weapons from being stolen.

No?

Then eat shit and die.

Vaginas are not licenses to kill or maim.

I guess she does. I mean if throwing her into water is what it takes to bring her back alive

>Also, Google " Female names on scientific papers"
If it was that kind of sexism, there'd be no problem, but it isn't, it's 20th century "get out of muh clubhouse" sexism.
>Also, fuck off for not thinking a Poison Ivy comic is going to be about Poison Ivy..
Poison Ivy has never been about women's issues.

Huh Welwitschia is a real plant, thought they made it up.
>>79165628
I guess she does? Clearly her biology is different and we did see early on that even a desert sun doesn't phase her.
>>
>>79165735
The Poison Ivy shouldn't have become a label-mixing plantkin.

>Do you complain when Batman beats up criminals in a criminal bar hangout?

The bikers in this issue weren't shown to be criminals in any meaningful ways though. Just kinda dickish.

Shh, to Tumblr, CIS male behavior (good or bad) is a crime punishable by death.

Being obsessed with what tumblr thinks probably isn't a good thing

They're villains fucktard.
>>
>>79166962
If you're living in Nazi Germany, is it considered obsession to be attentive to a sizable group of people calling for the death of your way of life?

I didn't think so.

I care, because Tumblr is invading Western Culture, not because they're right, but because they have money, and are being catered to because of the might that a mob mentality has as far as boycotts and menstrual blood coated marches are concerned.

Tumblr is even invading here, and this poor excuse for a comic is a prime example of the agonizingly terrible influences it has on plot construction, and character motivation.

I know this is hard, special snowflake, but Tumblr is the smelly, saggy tit, rainbow colored hair freakshow you avoid eye contact with when you see it screaming on the street corner about "rape culture" and "the patriarchy".

...So, because you work in a building where your boss has broken an attempted murderer out of jail, kept him a super-duper secret from everyone, including you.. You deserve to be beaten mercilessly, and in one poor guy's instance, hanged by your neck.

Further still, the guys that accompany Justin Hammer in the scenes where he is striking a deal, checking up on the deal, and taking the bird away, are all wearing a business suits and ties, not the security guard uniforms that the guys Black Widow assaults are wearing.

So.. How are they villains again? Because their boss did evil stuff that they literally had no idea about? Or, if you're working anywhere, at any time, and happen to be male, you should be prepared to be beaten within an inch of your life by a top heavy, leather clad, bitch.. Because reasons!

Does it hurt being that retarded?

>"Seeing this guy is just amusing"
>I have no excuse for the murder of innocent people relayed to me from a point of view that the murderer is the hero, and the innocent are the bad guys.. So I'm going to mock you, where as if a man broke into a building, and killed a series of women defending that building believing that the intruder was a criminal, I would be incredibly disturbed, uncomfortable, and triggered with this portrayal.

>It's only sexism when men do it.

Again, does it hurt to be that retarded?

You're just looking excuses for shitposting. Which like an anon once said is good because it would bring this book to relevancy. Keep doing it, I want a Poison Ivy ongoing

I'm trying to alert you to the fact that murdering people isn't a heroic act. These bikers, did not deserve to die.

Did they deserve a beating? No. They deserved to be alerted to the error of their ways.

If you're going to go so far out of your way to make a statement about sexism, the resolution shouldn't be murder. It defeats the purpose of raising awareness if you present the punishment for VERBAL HARASSMENT as violent death because that only forces the issue into the shadows instead of educating impressionable minds.

The writer clearly wanted to make a statement, this wasn't a "You know what would be cool, if Ivy and Harley straight up murdered people." brainstorming session.

We bitch and complain that comics are terrible now, and this is the height of that issue given that the only reason this scene is in the comic, is to facilitate the desire of the writer to visually depict men being slaughtered for saying ignorant things. KILLING SOMEONE BECAUSE THEY SAID SOMETHING YOU DONT LIKE.

Ivy is not a hero, she's not even an antihero. She's a straight up sociopath that literally thought nothing of crushing a man's head, and spinal column because he was associated with the man who verbally harassed a woman in dixie cut short shorts. Talk about not asking for it!

Three men were killed, right there, and Ivy didn't give a flying fuck about it to the point where she blew off Harley's friendship because she has a thing for the Joker.

It's kind of frightening that you have no regard for the way this writer is framing the "heroic deeds" of Poison Ivy.

How about the next time Batman and Ivy meet in battle, he just rams his car into her, and crushes her lower body, and proceeds to just drive away and bitch at Tim because he's got a thing for StarFire?

You are the reason comics are terrible, you permit these blatantly sociopathic trains of thought to gain enough traction that this garbage finds it's way to a printing press..

Eat shit and die.

That bad, huh?. Wow, never thought of that. so you say that isn't how should happen?, interesting, so what now? does she keep doing what she does or what?
>>

>Because reasons!

The simple answer is that MCU SHIELD, even compared to its Ultimates counterpart, is nightmarish organization not bound by laws or rules to the point that they would think nothing of launching three permanently stationed flying aircraft carriers with the express mission of preemptively killing people suspected of terrorism.

In a sane world, this writer would have been fired before the script even found it's way to the artist. As soon as it landed on the desk of her editor it should've been hitting the panic button and armed security guards should've escorted her out of the building, and her belongings from her desk dumped out on the sidewalk.

If you want to correct Ivy's story, she should fall ill on the first page of this next issue, and spend the entire comic recovering from a dosage of some kind of hallucinogenic drug that blocked her ability to reason.

At the end of that comic she should be standing over the grave of the guy she killed, having spent the previous pages deeply entrenched in introspection trying to find her true intentions behind this murder.

The dialogue on that last page should say something like: "I wanted a second chance, and that was totally ruined by whoever drugged me. I wanted to start over clean, but now that my hands are once again stained with blood, I vow from this day forward to protect the innocent, and seek to reform the criminally insane. If Batman hadn't treated me better than the man I killed in that bar, I would've died long long ago, and rightfully so, given the atrocities I committed in the name of my warped sense of justice."

The final panel is her walking away, and a single stargazer lilly blooming from the base of this guy's tombstone.

Then the next issue, Louisa's death was an accient, however she was the one who put the "murder juice" into Ivy's coffee, and it turns out that Louisa was a plant-based hybrid clone of the misogynist wheel-chair science guy, who is really a brand new villainess in disguise, who had sought to use Ivy's genetic hybridization to take over the world by building obedient plant-based clones of the Kryptonians, and Amazons. Their DNA being harder to duplicate and splice with plant DNA than basic human DNA.

This could finally offer some background on Batman Beyond's Splicer technology.
