Well, how about an arc about Cinnabun The Terrible?
PB calls Finn and Jake to the castle for an important mission, and tells them that Flame Princess has begun invading other kingdoms, just to leave them smoldering pools of lava. Finn isn't sure how to feel about having to fight his ex, and Jake says something along the lines of "Don't imagine her as your ex dude, imagine her as a giant flame lady who is trying to kill you, that you used to really really like"
Finn and Jake interrupt Flame Princess who is attacking Racoon Kingdom who reverts back when she sees Finn for expositional plot before refuting him, continuing to attack Racoon Kingdom. Finn gets over himself and attacks her, which causes her to draw back in emotional pain and she retreats to the Fire Kingdom.
There Cinnamon Bun comforts her and then asks her if she destroyed The Racoon Kingdom. She shakes her head no, and he pats her on the back. "That's okay Princess, you'll get em next time." Cinnamon Bun leaves and retreats to a dark room with a table full of miniature kingdoms and pieces of Adventure Time Characters positioned in certain areas.
"Next time." The episode ends with a shot of Cinnamon Buns eyes filled with fire.

Next episode is something along the lines of Flame Princess sneaking out in the cover of darkness trying to talk to Finn. She throws a rock at his window, but when that doesn't wake him up she throws flames through the window onto his bed. Finn comes out and is akward and stuff, and she comes clean with him.

I'll be attacking the Racoon Kingdom again tomorrow, don't stop me." Jake overhears the entire thing and he takes Finn to Princess Bubblegum to tell her the situation.
Finn says something along the lines of "Ever since Cinnamon Bun got full baked, he's been being a better champion than me." Princess Bubblegum spits out tea, Peppermint Butler drops a hot kettle. "Why didn't you tell me Cinnamon Bun was fully baked?" Last episode, Finn and Jake try to make it to the Flame Kingdom to confront Cinnamon Bun, however they notice that the Racoon Kingdom is in flames, so they stop there. There they see Cinnamon Bun using the Flame Princess Lamp as a Flamethrower to burn the kingdom to the ground. Finn and Jake try to attack him, but are stopped by flames. Cinnamon Bun looks at the flames as he looks down to Finn and Jake. "Isn't it beautiful? It's free, expressive, and dancing around like whimsical faires. Just like me Finn. Do you have any idea what its like being trapped in the body of an idiot? Do you know how much I wanted all those who laughed at me to feel my anger? Look at it boys. This is my anger. Isn't it beautiful?" Princess Bubblegum flies in on her swan and cries out "CINNAMON BUN" Cinnamon Bun drops the Flame Princess Lamp and looks at Princess Bubblegum walking in the flames. "You made me like this Princess, you did all of this. You really can't blame poor old Cinnamon Bun for any of this. I'm too stupid to know what I'm really doing."
Princess Bubblegum looks down and says "You're right."
But then she punches him and says "BUT YOU'RE NOT CINNAMON BUN!" Cinnamon Bun falls unto Flame Princesses Lamp and shatters it, she absorbs all the flames in the burning kingdom and launches them at Cinnamon Bun as Finn and Jake attack him. Cinnamon Bun melts and turns into a Cinnamon Roll, tiny and helpless, crying in the night sky. FP, PB, Finn and Jake all look down at Cinnamon Roll, Finn hands him to FP, who cries and flies back away to the Flame Kingdom.
PB says to Finn and Jake "I'm really sorry you had to see all of that."
Jake bumps Finns side "Dude, I think that means she's single now."
Finn looks on in the smoky ash background. "Not now dude. Not now."
