I actually really liked it. Norm's dancing was great and the plot was really clever and unexpected, the idea of building condos in antarctica is hilarious!! Also Rob Scheider is great in this. I hope this gem isn't overlooked when Zoophobia and Panda Fighter 3 come out.

The critiques are my favorite part about this.

>...Norm of the North needs to be put back in the bottom of the Walmart bargain bin where it belongs.

>You might expect a clichéd fish-out-of-water comedy. But, no. Norm of the North is so lazy, sloppy and confusing, it can't even pull off clichés.

>Norm of the North may keep undiscriminating children pacified for 86 minutes, but there's nothing here for anyone with an IQ higher than freezing temperatures.

>Norm of the North is more ursa minor than ursa major.

>It's possible that director Trevor Wall and his associates at Splash Entertainment and Telegael went into this with the best of intentions and really do believe they've made a family film for the ages. But they haven't. This is garbage.

>We had to wait 12 months to see the dumbest and most superficial animated kid's comedy of 2015. In 2016, we only had to wait 15 days.

>No. No. Just no. No child should be exposed to this.

>The title character of "Norm of the North" may be a bear, but the movie is a dog. Actually, that assessment is unfair to dogs - real, anthropomorphic and metaphorical.

>When even the fearless/shameless Ken Jeong doesn't appear to have done more than show up and collect his paycheck, you know the movie's in trouble.
>>
>>79116559
>Norm of the North may keep undiscriminating children pacified for 86 minutes
According to one review I saw it couldn't even do that. Kids in the theatre were getting up and squirming around waiting for it to be over.

>i haven't seen a single movie, except the 7th, so without nostalgia it was one par with Transformers.

This is what bugged me the most, when he wasn't copying shot styles from A New Hope for things like the X-Wing Pilots, the direction was just generic shit with a lot of tilted camera pans. I guess some people like them, but I can't stand them. I don't really care that it kinda looks like the cameraman was tossed to the ground from an explosion, that shit doesn't fit most of the time unless it's a found footage movie.

You know at one time, when they wanted to make a chipmunks christmas song and they wanted to make it popular, they actually took the time and effort to write and perform a new song. It was saccharine as shit, but it was still effort spent.
Now when they want to make a christmas song and they want to make it popular, they replace the lyrics to jingle bells with "pizza toots" and call it a "viral video".

My life is a series of constant readjustments to just how low the bar can be set. Pretty soon they'll be driving around in vans, throwing dog feces shaped like chipmunks at whoever's walking nearby, for their marketing campaign.

Is this film shite because of Hurp-de-derp Schnider, or are there problems beyond that?
>>
>>79123160
No there are problems beyond that, most reviewers say Schnider is surprisingly not the worst part of this. It's just generic direct to dvd shit produced by a company that's never done anything outside television and models that look like they're from ten years ago.
