I actually was surprised by in how a bad shape the Candy Kingdom still is, it's like Bonnie is just getting worse and providing her people more and more technology and civilization while not doing anything to canalize it properly.

They established in previous episodes that there is a "bad part of town". Jake talked about how he used to live around there and scam people and stuff. There's a bar (I think the building at the beginning of the episode) that's also been featured previously that's been established in the area. Would like to see more of the "bad part of town" seems interesting.

Huh, looks like this is a different cut of Stakes. If anything it may just be all the title cards missing. the first title card, originallly titled "Marceline the Vampire Queen", was renamed "Stakes" and the storyboard screen just shows all of the parts' storyboarders at once rather than just the first part
CN IS advertising it as a movie for a reason, I guess.

Stakes is a bit Bubbline shippy and has a cringe song in episode 4 or so. Also Varmints in S7 is shippy. Otherwise literally no romance in S7, almost only adventures and fun

Looks really like the bad neighbourhood is growing a lot though. In older episodes there were like two streets around the Candy Tavern that were crime-ridden and fucked up, but recent images from the CK during KOO's reign and this episode are showing that it's been getting worse.

It's true, but it diminished a lot with S6 and especially S7 now. Finn didn't have any relationship at all during S7 and the focus is going back to adventure and fun. It's probably the first the the writers actually did something they promised.
I suggest you start from the episodes you've jumped off all over again and just look for yourself. Parts of S6 are legitimately cringy, but not as bad as many might say. Just keep in mind that it gets a lot better with S7, especially the humour.
These threads were nice before they became so focused on things that a vocal minority hates. They don't even talk about the show anymore, just about how they hate this or that. Every single thread like a broken record. There was once art and discussion and community, but nobody wants to put up with a thread of rabid complainers.

The impression I get is that the writers started with a plan, but then later forgot they ever had a goal, so they just bailed quickly. Perhaps an effect of a plot that fell between multiple groups of writers that had different goals.
