If I actually was good at drawing I would be doing fanfic inspired draws all the time.
Is kinda my main motivation in a way, the first time I drew something Star VS related was for a fanfic WF wrote, later I drew a character from one of FCs fanfics, also tried to do a little fan idea that surged in some threads of Marco as the Pegasus Saint and failed at it.
I would love to be good enough to do these justice, but I always feel kinda bad when I realize I cant and the end result is nowhere near as good as I wanted it to be.

I thought that Hope taking any more liberties with Marco would kinda make her a shitty friend towards Janna: the kiss alone was already kind of an act of defiance, but innocent enough that one could draw the parallel with Jackie's first kiss with that kid.
Creating drama, with a direct conflict between Janna and Hope would likely just create a little more digression, but nothing really interesting, IMO: just some banter, a confrontation, then a make up(heh)and nothing more.
If I would REALLY wanted to steer drastically on Mope, I could see this green as being the first act of the whole story — but I'm not keen on the idea of going so far.

You know, if anything, this "controversy" kinda suggests me that I succeded in portraying Hope as a sympathetic character, so much so that the readers WANT Mope to happen.
…But it's "A SMALL Taste of Hope" — an appetizer: just enough to make you wish for more, but not a complete meal.
By the end, Hope is left with the feeling of wanting more, and so the reader, I guess.
…So, forgive me if I count that as a success.
