Also it seems the best Mortys are found in the Coupons unless you farm Mortys and evolve them in the Day Care.
Also having trouble raising the level of Mortys when they start low and in a dimension full of high-level Mortys.
I think one thing this game needs desperately is a move tutor or something of the like. Since the zones are so long you really need a team of mortys with 3 or 4 damaging moves each, or else you have to dump money on plutonic rocks constantly. I have 2 rank 2 mortys in my party that I can combine with additional ones, but the combined ones replace the damaging moves on my party members with shitty stat buffs/debuffs, making them virtually useless in the party.

Why do people care about one morty over another?
Sure I pump my default morty and OTM, but the rest of my team is stuff that I combined and was 10-20 levels higher than whatever I was currently running into.
And when my Multi Morty was starting to show his age, seriously those stats aren't actually impressive he's just overleveled and has a ton of hp, I just catch more Triple Mortys and combine them into a new Multi Morty with a better level advantage and a functional moveset. That plays more likeShin Megami Tenseithan a Pokemon parody.
Movesets don't even matter anyway. When it's a one on one fight, you are often just trading hits and spending too long buffing is a waste. Buffs and debuffs are so much better in a party battle than a singles battle.

Yes and no from what I'm seeing in the game. As long as a you have a good non-typed attack move you're golden, but type advantage is still important. My Mortys are getting into the 20s range and I'm starting to see buffs and debuffs have more of an impact. They're just not worth using more than once though, or even having more than one of.
Does combining Mortys give you a new one or just a more beefed up one btw? I haven't tried it yet and I'm considering it since my stats feel really weak.

Sometimes, doing quests and beating council members gets you tickets. If you get lucky, >>79052750 can actually happen, where you get another ticket as a reward for redeeming one, which is equivalent to the game giving you a free Morty.
If you don't get one, you can keep reloading the game from Cloud until you do, or until they patch it.

Game got boring with fusion. When you fuse mortys you get mortys way too strong for where you're currently at usually so the game just becomes a faceroll of high level mortys. General game play is also repetitive but for a free game with no ads it's worth playing for a while.

Level does matter. If you combine 2 level 2s, you might get a level 4 or something. 2 level 10s would give you a level 20. Those numbers aren't exactly how it would go, but you get the gist.
And no, you can't combine a 1st evo with a 2nd evo - you need to combine 2 2nd evos. Once you start getting into the higher levels you can encounter 2nd and 3rd evos in the wild, which makes life easier.

You can also make them using a few, relatively common materials. A small tip is to make sure you defeat every wild Morty that you don't catch in each dimension because unlike trainers who only give you shmeckles, defeating a single wild Morty rewards you with both shmeckles and a random crafting item, which allows you to get the materials for making manipulator chips much faster.

Prob been stated, but I'm rocking mostly level 15s, couple second evolution mortys, so this is the solid dick:
DO NOT buy health potions for anything other than maybe Council of Rick fights.
DO NOT be afraid to die, it's just a free heal and a teleport back to hubworld.
When you combine two of the same type of morty, the end result is a higher level. I combined two level 10 swimmer mortys, got a mermaid morty level 15. Same deal with two moustache mortys level 8 and 10, got a 15. It might be based on your highest current level. Crafting is mostly useless. I didn't start heavily combining mortys until about level 11, just because until then you fly through enemies. Keep a well rounded team as far as types go. There is not a ton to this game. You're fighting trainers for money to buy more morty pokeball shits. You want those to combine mortys to get ones that aren't dogshit. Each time you defeat a council member the number of badges you have to earn to fight the next is increased, it's a massive slog. DO NOT expect pay off. What fun there is, is in the simplistic gameplay.
Bunt is the most OP normal move, with it a morty can solo enemies that are their weakness. E.g. my Mermaid Morty's a rock type, but he can kill a paper type of level 11 or low in a hit with it. Status buffs are mostly useless, accuracy debuffs are useful if you PLAN on having that current morty take some hits while you spend some rounds debuffing, so your next morty gets hit less.
Seeds change your morty's stats permanently.
Anything else you want to know, I'll be in this thread a while longer but there's not a ton to get.

I hit the point where I'd progressed too fast, so the worlds had scaled too high to improve my lower level mortys. I've been farming til death on purpose for about an hour, just catching everything, fighting all trainers until I die, using no health potions. I'll grab a couple more badges and do the forth or fifth council member when I've got all lvl 15s.
