I swear this board has turned into a hangout for redditors and tumblrs alike to circlejerk about which ever fandom theyre in now. I used to like /co/, /co/ used to be love.
You don't need to invest in a tablet. Just buy some ink pens used for graphics work and scan them.

I don't expect to be lauded, I just want some sort of response to confirm that my comics actually register as comics. My butthurt comes from my being used to a much, much different atmosphere on /co/, but I shouldnt expect a board to be frozen in time and I should adapt.
I understand that its a common cop-out to say that "I didnt even try, I could do so much better, its shit on purpose etc..." But in this case its somewhat true. These were comics I jotted down as quick as possible just so I wouldn't lose the joke in my head, and theyre the only ones I have on my phone.

I've never really had a best to show off. My comics until recently have always been on backs of homework on in margins. They get laughs from people I show them to and I'll get told that I should actually apply myself and do a site, but I never believed they were worth that much until recently.

But you are correct and so is she. My entire post history does paint a picture of a kid who doesn't want to try, doesn't want criticism, and wants unwarranted praise. That's a really keen observation of me and hurts more than I'd like to admit. Along with that, I've been purposefully obtuse and assholeish, because, quite frankly, I dislike the people on here and like triggering them.
However, that is not conducive to a quality response or encouragement. Really what I was looking for was a "not great, but not bad either, you should actually try though", and I think I got that through the static. I was really set off by my initial lack of response, and then the link to the webcomic subreddit. It confirmed my biases on /co/, and I knew I'd get at least some response if was obtuse.
I'll be sure to come back when I've got something worth sharing.
