The tech and aesthetics of batnolan were good. If ever someone was going to go out and punch crime until it stopped and be successful, it would be someone with access to military prototype tech and a very generous budget.
I liked the little things too, like how he trades out the bulletproofing for extra mobility, helped make it feel like it was within the bounds of what could actually happen.
Up until the dumb bat sonar shit at the end of TDK.

I liked Nolan's batflicks but i think that Affleck's movies will likely be superior and closer to the comics. To be frank as much as i enjoy the Nolan Bat movies, Batman just doesn't feel like "Batman".
I guess its the comic fag in me but there were so many moments where i was like "Batman wouldn't do that". I mean giving up crime fighting for like 8 years because his not girlfriend got blown up by the Joker? If anything that would have made him go even more HAM on the bad guys.
Wasn't enough detective shit in it either. Batman is Sherlock Holmes in a funny get up, yet we never really got that in ANY of the Batmovies. ( Nolan or Burton's) i am hoping Affleck's Batman fixes that.

It's funny, because as these movies were coming out, up until Dark Knight Rises shat the bed, everyone considered these the most faithful to the comics Batman movies yet. Even stuff like Bruce living in a Wayne industries penthouse instead of the batcave was a deliberate reference to Dennis O'Neil era comics. In truth, when most people say the movies didn't feel like Batman, I just think they mean it didn't feel like the last 20 or so years of comics and BTAS.
