And i feel that there should be a best animated sequence for series and movies, though Inside Out's abstract though scene would probably win the latter. Seems wrong to have animated categories without having an award specifically for animation, you know what i mean?

Either way, the split for Lead/Supporting/Actor/Actress in the Animated Series section is due to the abundance of voice performances in shows that aren't leading roles and may otherwise be overlooked. The amount of Animated Movies and notable performances therein, on the other hand, are much more compact.

I suspect >>78966162 believes the supports are not needed and perhaps even believes that one award per medium suffices.
OTOH, now that I look more closely, why do we have a lead only for the films but more options for the animated series, particularly if you are not recognizing web-series or one-offs amongst the Animated Series
As for the balance of your comments, since we re not going to add anything, and in general, over all to these awards, perhaps there can be a vote threshold that needs to be reached; if there are say 100 voters (based on the straw poll) and say 85 Best Voice Performances get votes, a minimum should be required for a win; let's say only 40 performers get multiple votes, etc. Likewise, there are not many events (even if that doesn't feel like the case) but there are MANY single issues of comic book series, so again, there should be a threshold.
How is voting going to be limited? IPs?
There's no way it's gonna win, but I nominate Spider-island from secret wars for best mini series. Easily my favorite comic of the year.

I mean, most of the tie ins to secret wars were just events redone or expanded upon mostly. And this Spider-island was actually just a kickass Agent Venom story where everybody turned into vampires, werewolves, lizard people, or even dinosaur people.
