I do understand your sentiments, though. But unlike you, I happen to enjoy how mean Pearl is to everyone. She tries to be nice a lot, but deep down she resents a lot of things. That's why she has these bursts sometimes and she gets triggered over small things (Rose's Scabbard).
I'm mostly fine with the drama in this show, but I didn't like Pearl's outburst in that episode where she teaches Connie to swordfight. That really felt forced to me.
