Does some significant change occure in Wander over Yonder at a later point? I've seen 16 eps so far and it's rather childish. I know this is a cartoon board, but obviously there are cartoons like Avatar, Wakfu, Adventure Time, Steven Universe or Samurai Jack that attract an older viewership becaue they have interesting world-building, narrative continuity or some more elaborate elements. Then there are shows like Billy and Mandy or Johnny Bravo that while not having those have lots of humor that someone older can enjoy.
I just can't exactly see what I'm supposed to be looking for in Wander over Yonder. If I haven't really enjoyed the humor and characters so far, does that mean it's not for me?

It's more of a return to the slapstick shorts of the golden age of animation.
>complaining about a CHILDREN'S cartoon being CHILDISH
I know you acknowledged it, but you still complained about it, which makes you look twice as retarded.
jesus fuck not every cartoon has to have lore and forced drama
>If I haven't really enjoyed the humor and characters so far, does that mean it's not for me?
Yeah, WOY is pleb filter
>>78900393
You do realize that some people actually like their cartoons without world-building and pointless drama right?
>>78900443
This. It's closer to golden age of cartoons stuff, stuff that'd have no continuity at all, not even between two scenes in the same short.
>>78900495
>forced drama
Everything in a cartoon is forced it's not like someone went out with a camera and filmed nature gone wild. Everything that's there is on purpose. The drama, comedy, animation, dialogues etc.

>>78900443
Thanks a lot for the straight answer.
>>78900393
I would hit a button that killed all lorefags
>>78900954
Forced drama as in the tone of the show does not lend itself to dramatic sequences but they occur nonetheless
You damn well knew what he meant you pedantic fuck
>>78900954
there's damn well a difference between drama on purpose and forced drama, wise guy
>>78900393
It's not a plot-heavy show, not is it a uniform storyline, but I still like it.
It's just a really good kid's show desu.
That said, at 17 episodes in, you won't change your mind.

>I just can't exactly see what I'm supposed to be looking for in Wander over Yonder
Character interactions.
Another Monday with no Wander...
How are you guys holding up?should i make a new thread?
>>78900393
>tfw you want Sylvia to dom you
Does that make me a cuck?
Nah it's basically loony toons for a new generation.
>>78904299
no, you wanting to have sex with Sylvia makes you normal
a cuck is someone who would say, "I want Sylvia to fuck someone else while I watch."
>>78900393
Do you complain about the lack of character development or world building in Looney Tunes or Tom & Jerry?
sorry i let last thread die everyone, i didnt see those nipples
last thread there was an awesome anon who colored some pictures for us!
>>78907683
i cant wait until the 25th, these threads are so lonely nowadays...
>>78904233
Just fine. Got plenty of other stuff to occupy my time.
This really does fill the same role as Looney Tunes when I was younger: a brief respite from the hell hole that is my life where I don't have to worry about anything and just laugh.
>>78907957
>>78908300
same here, WOY is one of the few things that genuinely make me happy and give me something to look forward to
i'm sorry guys but i'm too sad to keep posting. the threads gonna die before reaching 200 posts and there's nothing to talk about.
i look forward to chatting with all of you again soon. until then, have a good two weeks!
>>78908300
>water mark
>purest ship hasn't been posted yet
>INB4 Slyvia is The Scotsman of the Zbornaks and doesn't stay with her own kind because they're too wild.
>le communism jojokes show
Fuck off
>>78905983
I don't complain about it, I just acknowledge that it doesn't fit my preferences and don't watch it. I never like Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes, besides the animation.
It doesn't change much, and it remains childish. The ones who like it tune in for the slapstick fun and humor. There isn't a grand running plot or anything.
>>78914104
what
>>78907683
I'm actually still here, just been on a week hiatus to let my eyes heal up some.
Nice to see my stuff up here though, thanks for the boost in confidence.
>>78921738
how do you feel about this one?
>>78922924
Can't at the current moment, eyes still hurt like fuck. Once this weekend comes, I'll be right as rain to pick back up with coloring.
I'll put it on the iternary list though.
