Those are all spider-man references. aren't they?

Who else could be the guy who jumps and the guy who swings?

Jumps could be hulk.

Swing could be Hawkeye... but I'd say Spider-man since he is supposed to be established.

Crawls up walls would also be him

pretty in photos/tv. in person, mixed results.

you can go REALLY heavy on makeup, and take photos, post on reddit, etc and look great. But, in person, the amount you are wearing would look really out of place 99% of the time.

If guy, remember the point of makeup is to accent features. a man should use makeup differently then a women. you are not trying to accent feminine features. you want to accent masculine ones.
>>

Personally, I don't mind makeup. I don't know what sorcery they do with it, but it's an interesting tool. However, people depend on makeup too much. That girl really needs skincare help instead of makeup tricks. Just look to Korean skincare---they know their shit.

Makeup is okay if you use it minimally, I think. Less is definitely more. Just use it to enhance brows and eyes, anon. If you have skin trouble, fix that first. Good skin > makeup any day.

Look to korean skincare/beauty tips. They are very advanced at that department.

I thought young boys were already taught not to rape. I mean, I've been living in a first world country my entire life and I don't think I've ever seen anyone teaching kids that rape is a good thing. Wouldn't treating boys like they're ticking time bombs / rapist monsters just be a serious hit to their self perception?
>>
>>78892817
I'm not from the US or EU, but I can tell you that in some countries rape is quite a serious problem. Just look at India.

>>78892219
I think she's also Ray William Johnson's ladyfriend.

>>
>>78892923

Well yes, but it's usually in first world countries where the "teach boys not to rape" line is most commonly used, though that's just in my own experience. Obviously in other countries awareness is still something that needs to be worked on, but a lot of the time it doesn't seem like that's where the focus is.
>>
>>78893190
I know there are people trying to educate about women and rape in India but I guess it's an uphill battle. As for first world countries, I guess it's the culture and freedom that you can express or fight something freely. And I guess it's also because it's a truly frowned upon thing to do that it gets a lot of voices against it, while in other countries it's not given that much of a spotlight locally because it's not treated like in the west.
>>
>>78892923
>Just look at India.
They have a problem with sex in general in India.
Sex is considered impure so they don't talk about it. I have seen a documentary where a european women was explaining that grown men couldn't really talk about sex, they were like teenagers.

And when a girl is raped, she can't talk about it because her body has become impure.

I get the idea, but because of "rape" being the hot topic of 2015, everyone sees it as a more prevalent issue than it is. It's not like your average joe in his right mind is going to go "hey I think I'll just rape her, that's always an option!"

People who rape are morally and mentally fucked up, just like any other criminal. It's like saying "teach boys not to steal cars" or "teach boys not to murder." It's a no-brainer, and it is being taught. No sane person thinks rape is "okay." People will do wrong things no matter what they're told. Just about everyone who rapes knows that it's illegal and wrong in society's point of view. Someone telling them that it's wrong doesn't change their mind.

Sure, living in a society where we could leave our doors unlocked and keeping our car keys in our car and walking safely through a dark alley in the middle of the night would be amazing. But this is reality, and criminals will always exist, their thought process can't be changed. Not every person in the world is sane and has it all together up there.
>>
>>78904234
There are a lot of times the line gets blurred though. One time I was having group sex when things started getting way too rough for me and people were shoving inhalants in my face. Yes I originally consented to sex, but when it became something that I didn't want to take part in, multiple men much larger than me held me down and wouldn't let me go. That was rape, but they all thought it was ok because I "consented."

The whole point is to promote people being more aware of what consent means. Maybe I shouldn't have put myself in that situation since I ended up enjoying it so much less than I thought I would, but that doesn't excuse the actions of my rapists.
>>
>>78892267
this is why I'm glad my girlfriend doesn't wear makeup. She's gorgeous without it and will look that way 24/7, as opposed to make-up wearing girls only looking good a few hours of the day. Don't have to worry about going to sleep with an angel and waking up to a goblin.

Why can't girls just accept their natural looks? If that girl in the picture kept her eyebrows and stopped putting shit on her face that's giving her such bad acne, she would actually look decent.
>>
>>78904334
This is going to sound like such a bigoted point of view, but honestly that's kind of why I believe sex is something only to be shared with close people deep in love that's lasted some years already. Sex only in marriage doesn't seem such a bad idea either.

I mean you can go ahead and do the things you want to do, I'm not forcing it on you. It's my own point of view.

But the big thing about relationships and sex is trust, so if you only half trust or don't even have enough of a basis to trust someone (like a friend with benefits, a person you picked up from a bar, or group sex, etc.), it's not going to work out. It's dangerous and you don't know what's going to happen. But if it's shared with the love of your life of several years who you trust and have a strong reason to trust, nothing will happen against your will.

But I'm boring and old fashioned, so maybe that's stupid.
>>
>>78904234
>People who rape are morally and mentally fucked up, just like any other criminal.

Not really, no. Not that I'm saying everything is rape like some activists, but neither is it a guy with a mask and a knife. Sex makes things weird; people treat other people differently if they think they can fuck them - sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad.

It's a murky issue with different definitions on different conditions.
>>
>>78904541
But that happens in loving relationships too. The idea that rape can't happen while you're in a relationship is wrong. Most people know their rapist. That's education about consent is important. It shouldn't be taboo to talk about sex with the person you're actually going to have sex with.

>>
>>78891147
so if a girl is dressed like a slut i can get away with raping her?
>>
>>78904606
>>78904623
If that's the case, then it isn't rape that we should be drawing attention to and attempting to eradicate. It's the idea that some/certain women "want it" and are just waiting for some guy to force himself on them, and the idea that it's the man's responsibility to initiate sex in an average relationship. When you combine those two aspects, it creates the toxic notion that if the guy doesn't make sex happen, then it just won't, and the girl will lose interest or think that the guy isn't interested.
>>
>>78904897
Yeah, well, like the various instances of rape, it's really hard to rewrite the human brain's code.

People just are. You can only condition them so far.
>>
>>78904897
Yeah, those are big parts of dismantling rape culture. Also not shaming women who have sex so that women can be honest about their sexual desires. It's a complex issue with a number of facets, but when they all come from a place of wanting rape to happen less.
>>
>>78904874
>can get away with raping

If you're always looking for an excuse to rape someone, the person's clothing isn't the issue - it's you.

But with that said, the way we dress isn't arbitrary; it conveys a message. When we wear clothing that covers our skin and body shape, it says: My body is private, and not for your amusement. When we wear clothing that is very revealing and shows off our body shape, it says: My body is on display, take a good look because it's available and I'm putting it out there.

It's the same way that wearing a suit and tie says: I'm powerful, wealthy, or at least intelligent, while wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt says: I'm sloppy, casual, and possibly lower-income.
>>
>>78904897
I think you hit the nail on the head. Thinking of movie sex scenes, for example, it's the two people talking, then all of a sudden the man kisses her and she kisses back, he takes her clothes off and she does his, then he fucks her. There's no consent at all there being obviously implied. It's just the woman receiving it silently as the man forces his way onto her and initiating it.

Most people are heavily influenced by film, knowingly and subconsciously. All media basically. But the movies essentially teach in most sex scenes that "the man must initiate sex out of nowhere and she'll take it." Which confuses people. It makes men think this is how they initiate sex as well in real life. Also with women taking the silent approach in movies, some men will think "well in the movie, the guy comes onto her and she takes it in without saying anything. So in real life, if she doesn't say anything, I guess that means she wants it."

I'm just speaking for the subconscious, I'm not saying people LITERALLY think that way. But when people learn about these things from movies and other media, it gives them the wrong idea about sex and how it works.
>>
>>78905167
Clothes do send a message, but it's not even close to that simple. Do I dress in revelaing/sexualized clothing when I'm trying to attract someone? Yeah, but I also wear it sometimes just for the fuck of it. What someone is wearing is never an excuse to treat them like shit.

>>

>>78892267

>>
>>78905228
Unless you accompanied that with therapy and treatment for whatever underlying disorder is causing them to want to murder people. Also, a big part of the discussion is that people are ok with rape in a lot of situations because they don't understand that it's rape
>>
>>78905252
Was I screeching? Can you come up with a legitimate response, or are you too triggered by someone saying rape is bad?
>>
>>78905114
Listen, I agree with you, but there isn't a "rape culture." We don't live in a culture where every man wants to rape every woman. Insane criminals, for sure. But the hot topic here is normal, sane people. They don't actually want to rape anyone. It's just some people are misinformed. They don't think they're raping anyone when they've been taught the mindset this guy mentioned >>78904897 . They think that's just how sex works. It's in film like this guy said >>78905172 so they think sex without actual consent is normal.

BUT, there are people who knowingly rape, but nothing you say will stop them any more than it would stop a murderer or a car thief.

The solution is to teach people how consent with sex really works, and more films with sex scenes implementing that to correct the mass confusion. Also fixing the thought processes here >>78904897
>>
>>78905311
why do they not understand if they're being raped.
would you understand if you were being raped?
>>
>>78904541
No, that's not stupid. Not bigoted either. That's actually my view too. I accept that some people have looser views about this, even if I don't agree. Pluralism isn't about celebrating other views as pretty much equally correct, it's about tolerating the views of others, even of those I disagree with, and even of those I might even find abhorrent.

>>78904623
Forgive my ignorance because I don't know statistics, but I think it's pretty clear that when someone says no they don't want something, then that means no. It's simple. So the idea that "education about consent" is such an important thing doesn't really add up to me. IMO probably at least 95% of "but I didn't know it was rape" defenses are just after-the-fact rationalizations/self-justifications.

It's just getting caught out doing something wrong, and then trying to justify your actions, just like everybody does with everything.
>>
>>78905375
It's not the victims who don't understand, it's the rapists.
>>
>>78905343
Nice one, make it look like I think rape is good to support your argument.
Like I said, rape is at an all time low. There is no rape culture. Every man in a western nation knows that rape is bad. That's it's one of the worst things you can do to someone else.

>>
>>78905370
Those things you mentioned are what people refer to when they say "rape culture." No one in their right mind thinks all men are rapists, but there are ideas in place in society that excuse rape or other forms of sexual abuse and those need to be addressed.
>>
>>78905429

as a male knowing both the social and legal ramifications of being accused of rape I would make sure in all cases that the sex was consensual. Is it hard to ask "do you want to do this?" I'd rather the awkwardness of that situation, and "losing the moment" than go to jail..
>>
>>78905375
It's more that people don't understand that they are raping someone else. Read here >>78904897 .

By rape, I mean sex without consent. So they're essentially initiating sex without receiving consent or giving it, so the girl might take it in without saying anything. Think about if you ever just didn't feel like having sex, and then all of a sudden, your girlfriend starting making out with you and started fucking you. You just kind of bare with it but there was no consent involved. That's essentially rape, but I mean I've been there I don't really care about it. I don't feel raped or scarred or anything. I just didn't feel like it but wanted to make her happy.

But it's beneficial for people in relationships to understand consent so that they aren't put in that situation of doing something they really don't want to do.
>>
>>78905487

>>
>>78905396

>>

>shaming women who have sex
I don't get this claim, unless it's coming from either the religious conservative American south, or from other countries where women are undervalued.

Because in North America, I have never heard anyone ever shaming a woman for having sex, whether it be in social situations, in public, or even in media. If anything, you hear about how weird a woman is for being a total prude and having never had sex.

The shaming doesn't come from being sexually active - it comes from abusing sex: From being too fast and loose with your body, from expecting sex on a regular basis from anyone, from jumping from one person to another and just using them for sex, from using sex as a tool for leverage or a punishment/reward system, or from feeling the need to seek extra-relationship sex.

It's not that we need to stop shaming women for these things, it's that we need to be more public about shaming men for these things. They aren't honorable or noble traits for men to exhibit either. The only people who worship/reward this behavior are other lowlife men who devalue sex and women just as much as the man-slut in question.
>>
>>78905547
That's a ridiculous generalization to make. Do jokes involving rape automatically trivialize it? No. Do people often joke about it in a trivializing matter? Yeah. Also, I wasn't even talking about jokes, just people who act like it isn't a big deal for the people who go through it.

if the person doesn't want sex they should be an adult and say so. Fuck.

unless they're not an adult then that's a different story alltogether.

If you were "raped" simply because you didn't feel like having sex with a person but were too apathetic to simply say no, or not right now then you deserve to be blamed and you deserved to be slut shamed.

Telepathy isn't as common in the real world as it is in the 616 so how the fuck is someone supposed to know you didn't want it...

But since I don't have random hookups with people I don't know, I don't have to worry about ruining the mood with a twenty questions on how exactly they like sex.
>>
>>78905673
>>78905787

That's the problem - seeing something as simple as asking if the person wants to be intimate as being "clinical and passionless".

Sex doesn't have to be some act of raw animal aggression, communicated solely in squeezes and grunts for it to be passionate and erotic.

When things start heating up and getting handsy, and you think he/she might be as horny as you, what's so mood-killing about whispering "So, do you want to take this to the bedroom?"
>>
>>78890821
> two mutie references in the MCU
Doubt it.
>>
>>78905578
>>78905739
>>78905821
I know that. I'm fine with it actually, if she needs sex, then I'll do it for her. Sometimes it's nice to do things for people you care about even if you aren't in the mood to.

But the point is, according to society, the person initiating should ask first. Just say "hey, do you want this?" or something, and if it's a yes then you're good.

Of course the person receiving should stand up for themselves, but apparently a lot of women don't want to do that or are intimidated, hence a lot of the feminists claiming "rape culture." If men started asking first before having sex, then it solves the problem. If she replies yes but really doesn't mean it, then she's retarded and there really is no excuse and they have no basis to even say they were raped.

But really, the true answer is people should speak up for themselves. Asking first before initiation and speaking up if you ever don't want something is the sole solution. It's not even complex.
>>
>>78905973
>"So, do you want to take this to the bedroom?"
That's a pretty far cry from the situation posited in >>78905745 dumbass.
>>
>>78905973

>>
>>78905673
>>78905787
>>78905935
So these are the kinds of people who end up "forgetting to use a condom" and having kids they regret. Too simple to think beyond "SO HORNY PENIS IN VAGINA NOW" long enough to actually realize what they're doing.
>>
>>78906030
What the fuck is the difference between answering a question, and just telling someone no when they start touching you?
If she isn't going to stand up for herself in one situation, why would she in another?
>>
>>78905687
wait so drunk sex is just illegal in general then? Both parties should be charged with rape, according to this.
>>
>>78906072
>doesn't address what I'm saying
>just accuses me of being some kind of caveman
There's a difference between asking if they'd like to have sex, and going over their list of kinks to make sure you don't do anything remotely that they don't want.
>>
>>78906114
Don't be silly, women can't rape
>>
>>78906104

>Josie was DRUNK
>That means she was NOT in control of her mental faculties, and COULD NOT make informed consent to share her body with anyone
>She is INNOCENT, as she was DRUNK and didn't know better
>Jake was DRUNK too
>But it's his fault
>So either he wasn't in control of his mental faculties either, or Josie actually was in control of her mental faculties all along, which means he was in the same mental state as her
>But fuck that. He is GUILTY. He should have known better.
>>
>>78906336
But that's the point. Because I don't pick up crazy chicks at bars, I can have these discussions not immediately before sex. I already know what she likes before we get to the point where clothes are coming off.
>>
>>78905973
No, the real problem is that certain parts of society want to categorize, partition and relabel social interaction to the point making someone feel uncomfortable during a non-sexual conversation is considered a form of sexual harassment. To the point you need to have a long discussion when you should be able to pick up on basic physical cues.

that being said, I've had the EXACT situation in that louis ck video happen to me, and because I'm not INSANE, she called me a pussy because I didn't "rape" her even if that was what she wanted. so it's just a fucking curveball however you look at it.

You're afraid of asking for consent, what she likes and what she doesn't want, etc. because it will "kill the mood". But obviously you haven't done it, you're assuming it will kill the mood, so you're afraid to do it. Nothing's being misrepresented here.

I can sort of understand the situation, where you're just sort of apathetic, but not defiant, thinking to yourself "what's going on? ok, dunno if I'm in the mood, I don't know, I suppose, maybe", and just going along with it even though you never would've suggested it in the first place. But I've never been in that situation myself, and so maybe I should stop analogizing it in my head with going along with someone to a restaurant when you're not really hungry.

>>78906353
yeah it's funny, the very thing I was thinking of when reading that image was "surely, Jake could NOT consent too".

But to be fair, the impact of something like a car accident isn't lessened if both driver and victim were drunk. A catastrophic thing still happened. But the apportioning of blame is something else entirely.
>>
>>78906737
>>How about this insanely popular form of media that glorifies violence, crime, consumer excess, and the debasement of women, often simultaneously

So if both are drunk during sex and can't "consent," then they are both at fault and must accept it.

>>

No if you're crying rape you obviously don't care about your partner's happiness which is why I'd imagine the fear that a date rape would become a beating rape is a more likely explanation.
>>78907043

>>
>>78906922
>I'd say they're comparable.

The difference is that video games take place in the realm of fantasy. Meanwhile, the artists and entertainers at the top of the rap/hip-hop empire claim that they themselves have engaged and/or do engage in those acts, that they enjoyed those acts, and that it is the result of those acts that they have achieved real-world wealth, fame, and adoration.

Video games say: This kind of thing is only possible in the realm of fantasy, so you might as well enjoy pretending.

Rap/Gangster culture says: I actually did it and became a real-life legend, you can do it too!
>>
>>78906885
none of the post implied otherwise, but they are both arguably "insanely popular".

>>78906864
Because in both, a catastrophic thing still happened, even when both parties were drunk. Going by the advert, a crime happened -- whether it actually did or not is a different issue, but we're scrutinizing what the advert actually asserts, going by its own logic -- just like in the car collision. One or both or none being drunk doesn't change the fact of the incident happening, that's all I was saying.

This is an accurate description desu. If a car and a human come in contact, the car is the one to blame, and the human is the victim. Even if the human jumped in front of the car or ran at the car head on, the car is still the one at fault who is damaging the human, aka the victim. It doesn't change anything.

This explains the way rape works. A man can only rape a woman, it just doesn't work vice versa because only a man has that ability.

2. Start process to outsource to India Datacenter.
3. Indian vendor company gives ridiculously low price quote.
4. Vendor company actually winds up being more expensive than quoted, on top of that all the vendors are actually working two contracts at once and there's tons of "shadow resources" so you're never quite sure who's actually working on your shit.
5. Vendors technically hit the metrics but only due to abuse of recording mechanism. Actual job done is shitty because anyone remotely competent has gotten a job in the states. Sloppy code, basic fucking incidents escalated all the way to T4.
5. PM eventually gets fed up with this shit and moves jobs back to Redmond.
6. New PM comes on board, goes back to step 1.

She probably got the role because she has a following. No one hires nobodies these days, your internet followers are a legitimate form of cred in the entertainment industry.

I just don't fucking understand it. I have trouble seeing people this stupid as humans sometimes. What is it, just lack of education? How can people not understand simple things? These are the people who need their government to raise awareness to remind them not to shit in the streets, as well as the same race going around and trying to essentially take over the whole fucking world.

Just what? I'm not trying to be racist, but how are certain races so much more mentally deluded and stupid? What causes this?

Gonna use this /co/ thread to mull over some rape in my past. Go through this with me if you have some time.

You're at a friend's birthday party enjoying some drinks. It's late, so most people have gone and the only people left are all close friends who are doing their best to finish off the beers in the cooler. Everyone's laughing and reminiscing.
The night winds down and you're invited to stay the night, but the rooms will have to be divvied up. Birthday boy goes to his room, girlfriend in tow. Your best friend and his girlfriend hobble off to the guest bedroom. Then birthday guy's sister suggests that you and your other bro sleep in her bed. Everyone piles together, your buddy on one side of you and your girl friend on the other; big spoon, middle spoon, little spoon. Memory gets muddy for you here, but you remember cuddling with your friend's sister, hand on her belly, then lower and lower -- but your memory goes blank here.

In the morning, your bro says that the sister talked to him and said you were being too handsy. Years later, you see her at a wedding and talk like old friends. Same with every other time you see her.

Did you do something wrong? Would you feel guilty?

>>Pretty sure the video game industry is a larger market than the whole music industry
lol
Yeah sure thing, son. That's why video game developers can leverage massive power via lobbyists and are constantly hounded by the press at award shows. Teenage girls across the midwest are blowing up tumblr and twitter with their sick ass Intelligent Systems memes, not Taylor Swift.
