Help me out /co/. Guide me through my first comic. I'm set to go to a comic shop later today and buy my first comics. I want to get a few from a series in order. Like issues 1, 2, and 3. Mostly looking into Marvel since I'm most familiar with it.
I'm a huge Spidey fan so that's a place I'd be comfortable starting at. What should I do?

Amazing Spider-Man is the 'core' Spider-Man title at the moment, and it's the comic that follows his primary adventures. It's on issue...six? I think? right now, so it's a good time to pick that up from issue 1.
For Spider-Man, if you would like some fun non-canon high-school adventures, Spidey (Thompson/Bradshaw) is a good read, as well.

I literally wrote a trade does. It collects issues. And yeah, sorry, but you can't be a "huge spidey fan" and never have read a single spider-man comic. You're a casual spider-man fan who likes 2 good movies and one good TV show with a season and a half.

and OP theres Trade Paper back wich collects around 6 issues and you can get omnibus which tend to collect a writes run meaning several arcs from begging to end go with TPB first i would say try some easy entry level stuff like CHEW, SAGA, the only spider man i am reading right now is spider man 2099 which is pretty fun or just choose something from my shelf in the pic you cant go wrong

Yeah it's not exclusive to Spidey. Considering GotG too among others. Is ANAD a good start or how far back should I be going? Kingdom Come was a recommended piece that I was shown and was interested in
