>it's a new mysterious person using an old identity plot
>>78825996
Well, is she?!
Can someone explain to me what the motivation behind this is? No one actually believes that Danny Rand is gonna be Daredevil longer than a few months or whatever. Do they think we're gonna buy purely on seeing a different character's word sin the speech bubbles?
Of all of the cheap comic tricks this is the one that has always worked the least for me.
>>78826037
She's dead and they probably won't use her again until Fox gives up the rights.
So no.
>A black man gets replaced by a white woman
How's Marvel gonna explain this one away? Have Sue claim she's transracial?
>>78826050
Wait, when did Sue die?
Which male character hasn't been replace by a chick or doesn't have a chick version?
>>78826083
Cyclops.
>>78826049
Danny Rand may be new Daredevil.
But he's not new Man Without Fear of Hell's Kitchen.
>>78826099
leading characters that get solo books anon
>>78826049
It theoretically boosts sales. It worked for Thor, although that was probably more motivated by the "gasp shock, thor is a GURL" than the actual mystery.
What I'm wondering is why they can never make the mystery itself compelling. It always turns out to be some other hero dressing up to blah blah blah. The Jane Foster reveal was basically a non-event.
>>78825996
I thought Echo is Black Panther?
>>78826067
She and Reed died in Secret War, we just haven't seen that actual issue published yet. But since the titles already out refer back to it, we know they croaked.
>>78826057
It wasn't Sue, idiot, it was T'Challa's sister.
>>78825996
>>78826133
I like how they just shooped their heads there. Smooth, Marvel, smooth.
>>78825996
>white person being a black superhero
Wow, I now know how it feels to be a appropriated. No wonder you guys get so pissy at ANAD
>>78826122
Daredevil.
>>78825996
>blacked
>>78826169
Not sure is this fan edit or official.
>>78825996
I'd be very interested to see this done as a long-term thing. It'd be ballsy of Marvel, and they desperately need to be more ballsy. But having a non-black character assume a traditionally "black" identity permanently would be challenging preconceptions a lot, unlike the hackneyed "replace male with female" or "replace white with other ethnicity" which are "safe" stories.
>>78826194
Nothing happened though.
>>78826229
Official
That's the run where she married Panther
>>78826229
Official but still a shoop.
>>78826265
>try to make it look like a 60's comic
>use modern lettering
ayy
>>78826229
It's a real variant cover, but it is a cheap shoop nonetheless.
>>78825996
Didn't they try this with the Hulk recently, even though everybody knew it was going to be Amadeus?
>>78826391
Yep.
>>78826391
Marvel do it pretty much non-stop. They did it with Thor, cap, Spidey, Hulk and DD just within the last decade. I'm just waiting for the new mysterious Iron Man plot to happen and then it turns out it's Rhodey or Pepper.
>>78826391
They did it in the marketing but in the book they don't use any mystery at all
>>78825996
B L A C K E D
>>78825996
Sue is way too OP to be Black Panther. He's a street-level Daredevil type, she's capable of destroying Celestials with her mind. Running around doing acrobatics and punching people is way beneath her.
>>78826391
Like someone said, they don't make the mystery compelling. It's usually obvious who it will be or otherwise nothing too interesting is done with it since it's just a temporary status quo.
>>78826133
Wish they'd bring her back. Not enough good new characters in Marvel.
>>78826672
Blame Bendis
>>78826189
Yeah, they got close though. There's Lady Bullseye and Echo is like fem!Devil. There was even that issue of NA where Strange revealed everyone's inner-self. Echo was female DD.
>>78826049
wait danny is the new daredevil? like hes one training that new guy in soule's run?
>>78826750
Civil War
>>78826750
Oh my god, can you people actually read comics instead of posture around? Just for fucking once?
>>78826750
Think back to civil war
>>78826727
Well I almost think it was mercy on his part. He knew no one else would use her, so he didn't want her to fade into obscurity. She died instead, but The Hand can always vring her back. Just hope some writer does it in the future.
>>78826672
Most people don't even know she's dead because nobody read Bendis' Moon Knight,
>>78826792
>defending Bendis
Cueball fatso pls
>>78826745
Can we count Cap or various alternate reality female successors put nail in that coffin?
>>78826766
>wanting anyone to read Civil War
disgusting
>>78826189
>>78826122
Iron man Punisher and Dr Strange have been replaced or have a female version?
>>78826850
He didn't become DD in Civil War, casual. It happened during Brubaker's run. Stop pretending you read comics.
>>78826882
Well Iron Man had Pepper as Rescue. Punisher had Rachel from the Rucka run with Solid Frank. Strange doesn't, yet.
>>78826850
If I suffered through Civil War, everyone should.
>>78826882
There was that Lady Punisher recently. Redhead, forgot name. Iron Man has Rescue/Pepper, but both of them never headlined book, to my knowledge. I may be wrong. And no idea about Strange.
>>78826480
they should do the contrary. Instead of a different secret identity for an existing superhero a different superhero takes over an existing identity.
Instead of, say, Jonathan Chandler is the new Invisible woman, we have Moon Knight is the new peter parker
>>78826229
>>78826133
>>78825996
Why do I find these hot?
>>78827027
Skintight latex catsuit?
>>78827043
yeah that'll do it
>>78827043
Yeah but they're not showing skin.
>>78827075
So?
>>78827075
So?
>>78827075
So?
>>78827027
They'd be hotter if they put the mask on.
>>78826932
>>78826912
>78826912
there are more sidekicks though aren't they?
>>78827043
why would he find skintight latex catsuits hot??
>>78827288
Why would he not?
>>78826905
>wanting anyone to read post-80's Marvel
disgusting
>>78827613
>I love eating shit!
Fuck off.
>>78827641
Hm? Where in my post did I imply that?
>>78828037
The part where you swore off plenty of good comics because of some nonsensical bias.
>>78828131
>not wanting to support the company who crashed the market, shat out yearly events, then sold out to the Mouse
>nonsensical
>>78828237
Swearing off good stories for those reasons sounds pretty nonsensical, yes.
>>78827075
>>78825996
>>78832144
That's pretty weak. Was it really worth posting, anon?
>>78832144
hmm, repressed Scotland nation that somehow repelled the Viking invasions despite everyone else falling before them. Their secret weapon was GOD, Galactic Orthogonal Destabilization ore. With it, they repel every invasion to their small mountain.
Fuck, Brian Wood has to put this into his Northlanders comics now.
