Kristen will be playing in an "Untitled Mystery/Horror Movie" in 2018 by ... "Blue Sky Studios" the same people who only make kids movies. Horror is weird, could be a mistake or something, because as I can slightly imagine Kristen being in a horror movie (I'd think animated), it seems weird for Blue Sky (of Ice Age, Rio...) to have a genuine horror movie on their roster.
Not sure about Jason Ritter, but J.K. Simmons will be in Kung Fu Panda 3 as the main villain.

My point is like, we know there's going to be some thing sin the journal that we would want in-show, but things like the President's Key and Trembley aren't going to be in the Journal, because that's not related. Same goes for other stuff that's not directly related to the Journal. The journal wouldn't have "Trembley returned in 3012 and did something to save america" because that's not it. That's how we know it's either going to be a dropped plot line, or a rushed one.

It's strange. The whole morale about how Mabel isn't pure, and her doing good deeds for the sake of looking good isn't actual altruism and wouldn't increase her purity seems like it would actually be good, but instead Mabel goes into a catatonic state and the others jump to her defense and take the unicorn hair by force. Which is fine, friends will blindly defend each other, but having Mabel avoid learning to be not as selfish while doing good deeds would've helped her in the end.
Say the unicorns call her out, they try to take the hair, but fail and are kicked out. Mabel then asks random passerby gnomes or something what she's doing wrong, and they call out her impulsive selfishness from the first episode, and she remembers all the times she was like that. She comes back, resolved to be a better person, and finds the battle already over and they've already got the unicorn hair.
