But given my experience in the industry"head writer" doesn't really mean much, could mean writing dialogue, could mean making sure the help text is understandable, could just mean that's the guy who runs the whole thing through spell checker.
Not to mention you pretty much never put the raw text from the guy who actually writes the story directly in the game, you gotta format it and split it up, it isn't atypical to have one guy writing the whole thing and a whole host of "writers" in the background actually inputting the text or just filling in details like signs the player can read or graffiti in the background
