When are they going to get reamed for fucking with Galactus when he's needed to eat worlds so the energy keeps abraxas sealed and the whole release in all at the end of the universe for a new big bang.
You'd think him going around and using that shit up would be slightly bad.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/ewings-ultimates-transform-galactus-travel-outside-the-known-marvel-universe

> I will say that I consider Abraxas, a cosmic bad 'un who popped up when Galactus died once, to be out of the equation -- when I re-read the end of that particular story on Marvel Unlimited, it looked like Franklin [Richards] had dealt with him on a fairly permanent basis.

>I've never been that sure about the "cosmic balance" anyway, if I'm honest. It feels like ants deciding there must be a very good reason for the anteater to drop by, if only they could figure out what it was.

I'm pretty sure Galactus himself said that he'd give back more then he has ever taken and he'd be the source of the next big bang.
I think Mr. Immortal was slated to be that universe's Galactus as well.

>Our top story today, Blue Marvel has anounced that the Ultimates have managed to finally end the threat posed by Galactus, the alien being whose tried to devour the Earth multiple times, and that the entity has now become a restorer of worlds
>We are now joined by Jonathan Storm aka the Human Torch, former member of the Fantastic Four whose faced Galactus several times, and our very own J Jonah Jameson, who to this day still insists that Galactus is a hoax, to discuss this momentous event and its ramifications

I agree with him. This is why I can't stand Beerus from Dragon Ball, especially since unlike Galactus he's a petty asshole who doesn't give a fuck

>>
>>78733346
I can't see half of these changes actually making a lasting change into canon.

My guess is that the main theme of this book is probably going to be how the Ultimates are trying to solve problems that aren't really there, which in effect destabilizes reality and creates more problems than it solves.

I mean for fuck's sake how many times have they tried to hammer in the idea that Galactus isn't evil, but necessary?
>>
When did Galactus come back? I thought he got thrown into the negative zone in the ultimate universe.
>>
>>78732655
That would be true if it was only Galactus and not guys like Eternity and the Living Tribunal vouching for him. In other worlds Ewing is an idiot.

>>

I think this issue might be the first time I've seen him even approach Reed's level of cocky with America calling him on discovering the Neutral Zone.
>>
>>78744118
He was introduced as a super-famous hero of the 50s(back a few years ago, not in the 50s), as smart as Reed Richards and more powerful than The Sentry whose only weak point was being ONE NEGROES with super-powers in the 50s. Also, a super-famous and respected super-scientist in his secret identity.

So, yeah. It wasn't introduced well.

>>78744973
good one
>>
>>78744630
Not really. The real loss was with Captain America right after the first arc with Sam as Captain America just right after Remender had found his footing imo.

Uncanny Avengers went nowhere and became a tool to retcon stuff like Rogue gaining control of her powers and Wanda/Pietro as Magneto's kids.
>>
I don't mind that Blue Marvel is getting some focus here with the first villain the Ultimates face being the Anti-Man

Black Panther and Carol have their own solos. America does have any villains of her own and Monica did recently face her demons and beat a Beyonder from the Beyond Corporation.

As a Canadian, I will never not be mildly-but-persistently aggravated by the name Alpha Flight being connected with this. It's never a BIG offense, but it's like this sliver pushed under a fingernail that I can't get out and just keeps ANNOYING.
>>
>>78751744
It helps a little knowing that actual members of Alpha Flight are there on that station Sasquatch, Aurora, Puck

I'm hoping that Guardian, Talisman, Marrina, and others show up too. I'd ask for Snowbird but I don't think geosynchronous orbit over Earth counts as part of Canada so she can't go.

Plus I do like the idea of Carol working with Abigail Brand who is far more qualified for the job.
>>
>>78737324

Glad someone pointed this out. I was about to do so, but it's nice to see someone else got it.

Warren Ellis created The Bleed for the benefit of Wildstorm's The Authority, which has since become folded into the cosmology of the DC multiverse. He subsequently created the very-similar concept of the Superflow for his "newuniversal" series for Marvel, which has since been folded into that cosmology thanks to Hickman's Avengers run.

No, the Many-Angled Ones are analogues to some Lovecratian "deities". Lord Mar-vell invoked K'thl (Cthulhu), Nyarlatoreth (Nyarlatothep), Shuma-Gorath (Shub Niggurath probably) and Yot-Soter (Yog Sothoth). I think Brasher is just being witty and uses Cthulhu as a term for "surreal monsters from beyond reality" I don't think this team + Galactus could take any one of the actual M-A Ones.

Not to mention with Chavez' uncomfortable amount of overconfidence and Blue Marvel letting his faux sense of 'humility' run rampant, I'm finding few reasons to like this team. Carol/Monica/T'challa are really not doing much for me either

>>78753108
I mean, they were right about the mission being too much for a rookie

but yes there's probably going to be some hubrisitc ass-biting later on
>>
>>78753178
I don't think it's entirely fair to give credit of your mission having any hope of success to a guy, and then writing him off as a 'rookie'.

Yeah, he's green, but he just made a shield that makes a spaceship immune to what I assume to be LITERALLY infinite pressure. Even if he can't use it on himself, that sounds like he'd stand a fair chance if he wanted to volunteer his services. Hell I'd say he'd have the right to demand it since it's his device they're using, I assume he just took their word for it but, damn, still strikes me as unnecessarily cocky about themselves to write off a potential helping hand. At the very least they're fucked if something happens to the generator so, go them.
>>
>>78753236
being good at science-y stuff doesn't necessarily mean you're good at fighting extradimensional beings with your fists

In retrospect, this IS exactly what made everything go so fucking wrong in the new Fantastic Four movie when scientists think they're astronauts.

Still, it comes across as incredibly condescending to have this guy soup up your ride and then when he asks to come along, tell him he ain't stronk enough.

I mean, if White Tiger and Power Man could fight off a Cthulhu in Mighty Avengers they're pretty damn green too (C-listers going off of Tony's defintion) so I would trust new Giant Man with a shot.

>>78753338
but White Tiger and Power Man unexpectedly fought a Cthulu and had special magic god powers and knowledge

Ultimates are going in expecting a Cthulu or worse, and while Brashear is being a bit of a dick about it, he's right about it probably being too much for a rookie whose primary experience is in science, not magic, to handle
