Some series are great, some are outright boring.
It's the type of show where the best moment in an episode is a character autistically stacking cream packets in an expression of his idea of fun. There's a little humor between these sincere moments but there's a lot of cuteness and character driven that somehow feels realer than most other shows. In a show like this, "real" is synonymous with "boring" to a lot of people, but then there are those who see it more as "comfy". It's not for everyone, like every show ever, but this one is more polarizing and has a fa base that makes many here want to dislike it.

I watched that episode where they hung out with a little girl who tried to fuck them over but for some reason they were still friends in the end, then I watched an episode where grizz got attached to a burrito and it had some very hamfisted Steven Universe style forced feels at the end, crying and all.
I haven't watched it since.
It's a bunch of fucking bears with smartphones trying to be cool and popular. It tries very hard to be cute and relatable, but it comes off as pathetic to me

If you took out the scene at the beginning and the one at the end you would not even notice anything was missing. Oddly enough, that was why they left BatMan on in a bar I used to frequent, after the "Kayto Show" rolled credits: they could follow it, and learn some stuff, without speaking English (not entirely sure anything aimed at 8-year olds requires understanding the language...maybe the plots are just there to amuse the parents and writers...maybe the entire supposed popularity is based on "look at the bears...hey, hey...look at the bears!)
I don't see the appeal and while I'm not gon a pretend that means no one else should like it, part of me suspects there's a growing culture on /co/ where you have to be balls deep into the fanbase of at least one currently airing cartoon at all times for the sake of having something to do while you're here

Ron Stopable, BMO, Zane, and Archer are all strong maybes...there is the "stereotypical scientist friend" on that trite Live Action Disney show, now...but Demetri Martin's Ice Bear is the first time I've seen an unmistakably autistic person, on a kid's show, treated as normal, and relatable...not as some sort of freak.
Not a borderline, depending-on-the-writer, case; not as an informed attribute, not backed up by their actions--just as another, normal person (well...talking animal, living in the human Bay-area, but you get what I mean).

I really like the character designs and animation. I think the writing is pretty clever and witty. Its not too loud mouth or obnoxious which really helps with it feeling "comfy". AAAAAND Chloe is waifu. Although i can totally see why someone would find it boring. Its really not for everyone.

It's worth watching for the characters. It's not exactly funny but I don't think it needs to be, to be a good show. I don't know why everyone thinks laughter is essential.
So does everyone know they are bears or what? I don't know. Half the time they acknowledge they are wild animals, but the other half everyone is treating them like perfectly normal people. the show needs to choose.
