if he can draw a lot of monsters and has a decent inker his Aquaman might actually look pretty decent

it also rewards you for paying attention and invites re-reading, something not many big two comics offer

it does clear up a lot after issue 1, and now that Kyle is doing more the Kylefags have less to complain about, Omega Men's not easily accessible but it's not some insurmountable task to read and I wish more people would give it a shot instead of making excuses not to

I asked Brevoort on tumblr about it. They wanted an Angel/Iceman buddy book and it grew. I think Herc was on cause he left Avengers, Natasha had left Daredevil, and Ghost Rider was the hot new guy they were pushing
>>
>>78648533

Found it, excuse no meme arrows

Tony Isabella pitched the series as an Iceman and Angel buddy book, the two of them having graduated from the X-Men.
The Editor in Chief at the time told him that this was a team book, and that as a team book it required certain elements:
A female member. That became Black Widow.
A strong guy. Hercules.
And a character who was headlining in his own title, to give the series a better chance of catching on. That was Ghost Rider.

A bunch of people in normal clothes are flying around attacking costumed supers.
All three bullets that hit Karla have managed to tag her breasts.
Atlas seems more annoyed by his assailants, as if they were flies he's trying to swat at.
Karla pointing out that obscenely cliche line of "They're as good as dead.".
Graviton posing like he's auditioning for Shakespeare.
