The stated reason why it was canned was that Iger and Kennedy felt it wasn't a good idea to have a full-on Star Wars parody show when they're trying to establish a new era and introduce the franchise to a new generation, and having this wacky comedy would send mixed messages as well as rely too heavily on jokes that only established and longtime fans would get, alienating any newcomers.
